The Customer Service Representative supports sales by managing orders, improving communication, and maintaining the customer database while ensuring high service levels.
Place Showroom, a Wholesale Contemporary Women's Apparel Showroom, is looking for an experienced Customer Service Representative.
The Customer Service Representative plays an integral part in supporting sales and building relationships with accounts. They are expected to provide a high level of service and act as an extension of both the sales and operations teams.
This role is responsible for assisting with timely and accurate order submission, communicating updates and changes to orders to Place teams and accounts, as well as maintaining our customer database across systems.
Customer Service should have visibility and knowledge of all happenings with accounts and orders in their assigned territories and be able to partner with other members of the operations team to streamline communication.
The Customer Service Rep must be detail orientated, efficient with systems and have a bias for action with their primary goal to support sales in getting orders placed and shipped. This person must be a strong cross functional collaborator and work with urgency to communicate changes between brands, sales and our accounts.
Responsibilities
- Account Representation and Communication: Ensure timely follow-up on customer service-related tasks and queries, advise on all updates to orders (such as revisions, drops, extensions), support with Return requests, requests for changes in orders, and work with sales team on order approvals and any details needed for order submission.
- Cross Functional Collaboration: Maintain effective communication internally and externally. Partnering closely with your sales and operations team counterparts, facilitating meetings, and providing direction, support and ensuring action points are followed up on each week.
- Reporting & System Integrity: Audit and action customer initiated edits to orders, and support with processing. Fully maintain Place's customer database, ensuring account coding, and details are as accurate as possible, updating as needed and communicating changes to appropriate teams.
- Sales Support: Provide sales support with account outreach including but not limited to: ATS reporting, seasonal launch marketing, order outreach and follow up, market and show appointments as needed.
- Additional support as needed including operation projects, showroom and sales support.

- Must be proficient in Excel, LOOKUP’s and pivot tables preferred
- Must be able to learn on the spot and take notes to ensure information is retained
- Detail oriented, adaptability and critical thinking
- May be asked to occasionally travel to tradeshows
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to work independently
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Salary range: $25-27/hour commensurate with experience
