Why You Should Choose Steno

At Steno, we're growing fast and transforming the litigation technology industry with best-in-class court reporting, modern solutions that add value for lawyers, and an exceptional client experience. We partner with law firms to simplify complex workflows, deliver reliable outcomes and case insights, and to revolutionize a traditionally outdated space while we expand across the country.

  • Wins together – Equity options included. When Steno grows, you grow.
  • Invests in you – Generous company-sponsored health plans for employees and dependents, including comprehensive vision, dental, and wellness and mental health benefits for employees and families — well above industry benchmarks.
  • Constantly innovates with technology at our core – We are a modern organization revolutionizing the court reporting and litigation support industry every single day.
  • Competitive hourly rate of $20-$23 – reflects your impact on Steno's client experience and day-to-day operations
  • Own the court reporter experience – Develop and manage relationships with court reporters across all markets, ensuring every job is covered correctly and every reporter feels like part of the Steno team.
  • Remote-first – with flexible PTO, home office setup, and a monthly stipend to cover internet and phone costs

Why the Provider Operations Team at Steno Is Different

  • Court reporters' best friend – The Provider Operations team is always working to get the right reporter on the right job every time - and keeping them cared for all along the way
  • White-glove service, every time – We don't just fill jobs; we build trust and long-term relationships with the court reporter community, delivering a reliable and hospitable experience at every touchpoint
  • Cross-functional and collaborative – Partners closely with Marketing, Operations, and internal leaders to develop programs that strengthen Steno's reputation as a top court reporting agency
  • Built for natural problem-solvers – You'll coordinate many moving parts across high-volume workflows while staying organized, composed, and relationship-focused

You'll crush this role if you have 1+ years of scheduling, coordination, or administrative experience, a hospitality mindset and exceptional communication skills, comfort picking up new systems quickly, and the ability to prioritize competing tasks in a fast-paced remote environment. Prior court reporting agency experience is a big plus.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
