We are looking for a passionate and strategic Content Strategy Lead to join our team. In this role, you will be instrumental in shaping the future of digital comics by driving data-informed decisions and identifying new growth opportunities. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of data, creativity, and technology, helping to build the world's most vibrant platform for digital storytelling.
This position will be a key contributor to our Content Strategy team, responsible for analyzing our content library's performance, identifying strategic opportunities, and informing our content acquisition and programming decisions while ensuring that our content strategy is both artistically compelling and commercially successful.
Essential Duties:
- Drive content strategy initiatives by leading in-depth analysis of title performance, focusing on user engagement, consumption trends, and monetization data.
- Offer strategic insights that inform all content decisions, from developing new title launch strategies to optimizing our full content mix.
- Stay informed on the latest trends in digital comics and graphic novels, analyzing competitor strategies and finding new opportunities for our content.
- Collaborate with the Content and Marketing teams to develop and execute a holistic content strategy that drives audience growth and engagement.
- Provide strategic support on programming decisions to maximize content performance.
- Identify and analyze new content categories, formats, and acquisition strategies to expand our platform's reach and appeal.
- Create clear, compelling presentations to communicate insights and strategic recommendations to senior leadership.
- Work on special projects and long-range planning initiatives to support the growth of the WEBTOON platform.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in a content strategy, business development, or data analytics role, preferably within the media, entertainment, or tech industries.
- MBA or a similar advanced degree is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to use quantitative and qualitative data to drive strategic business decisions.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong analytical skills with a knack for distilling consumer insights into actionable insights.
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, or other data analysis tools is a plus.
- An interest in digital storytelling, comics, and graphic novels.
