As an independent contractor, you will be instrumental in advancing our high standards across various touchpoints.

  • Full time contract basis
  • Contingent contract basis [add timeframe max 6 months contract or shorter based on project length
  • Contractor Status Note: This is an independent contractor position. Contractors are not eligible for company benefits, paid holidays, PTO, or leaves of absence unless required by law. Valid work authorization required for the country of operation. Compensation will be structured according to geographic market zones and contractor status. Specific rates will be discussed during the contracting process

The contractor will:

  • Maintain the Web team’s experimentation backlog; from generating test ideas to prioritization.
  • Assist with site audits to identify potential opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to manage timely progression of experiments from ideation to launch.
  • Monitor live experiments to ensure no major anomalies.
  • Assist with Experimentation Program process improvement.
  • Assist with experiment interpretation, analysis, and recommended next steps.
  • Manage completed experiments documentation.

About you:

The ideal contractor will have:

  • 2-4 years of professional experience in Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO), web analytics, or growth marketing with various clients.
  • Have experience evaluating and testing creative and messaging, understanding what drives user action.
  • Are familiar with data analysis and basic experimentation techniques, with proficiency in tools such as Google Sheets, Amplitude, Snowflake and Tableau.
  • Have experience with, and feel comfortable using optimization platforms such as Optimizely, Intellimize, AB Tasty, Adobe Target, WVO, etc.
  • Are innately curious- you scrutinize results and wonder what could be tested.
  • Have strong attention to detail and organization with the ability to manage projects.
  • Strong written and verbal skills with the ability to present findings clearly and concisely.

Our Core Behaviors:

  • Obsess over customer experience. We deeply understand what we’re building and who we’re building for and serving. We define the leading edge of what’s possible in our industry and deliver the future for our customers
  • Move with heartfelt urgency. We have a healthy relationship with impatience, channeling it thoughtfully to show up better and faster for our customers and for each other. Time is the most limited thing we have, and we make the most of every moment
  • Say the hard thing with care. Our best work often comes from intelligent debate, critique, and even difficult conversations. We speak our minds and don’t sugarcoat things — and we do so with respect, maturity, and care
  • Make your mark. We seek out new and unique ways to create meaningful impact, and we champion the same from our colleagues. We work as a team to get the job done, and we go out of our way to celebrate and reward those going above and beyond for our customers and our teammates

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
