About the role:

We’re looking for a proactive, highly organized Web Project Manager to drive execution across our high-performing marketing and web teams. This role is central to managing cross-functional workflows, removing blockers, and ensuring smooth delivery of campaigns, SEO initiatives, web updates, and digital experience optimizations.

You’ll own the trafficking of marketing projects from intake to launch—organizing our sprint boards, facilitating standups, managing timelines, and keeping everyone aligned. If you’re fluent in Jira, Asana, and agile best practices—and love turning chaos into clarity—this role is for you.

Why You’ll Love This Role

  • You’ll help a fast-moving marketing team stay organized and efficient
  • You’ll work cross-functionally with SEO, content, dev, design, and demand gen
  • You’ll be the glue that keeps high-impact projects on track—from audits to launches
  • You’ll play a strategic role in scaling process and visibility across the org

At 8am, our vision is to power a world where professionals thrive. We start every day on a mission to empower professionals with the most trusted, innovative technology to deliver world-class outcomes for their clients and exceptional financial results for their business. We have been recognized as one of Inc 5000’s fastest growing companies in the U.S. for 13 years in a row, and as a result, our teams continue to grow as well!

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end project management for content and web initiatives, from brief through delivery
  • Follow up with all contributors and SMEs to ensure all work is ready for web development prior to the start of each project
  • Manage work intake, sprint planning, and backlog grooming across Jira and Asana
  • Maintain and optimize scrum boards; track task progress, dependencies, and blockers
  • Serve as traffic manager—ensuring work is assigned, prioritized, and completed on time
  • Partner with SEO, content, design, and dev teams to move key growth projects forward
  • Facilitate team standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
  • Monitor project health and surface risks early
  • Communicate project progress and surface any roadblocks to the leadership team
  • Document processes and help enforce workflows across marketing ops

About you:

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, preferably on a web or digital team
  • Expertise with Agile/Scrum methodologies and tools (Jira, Asana)
  • Familiarity with trafficking creative, web, SEO, and email projects
  • Solid understanding of marketing channels and cross-functional workflows
  • Detail-oriented and structured, but flexible and calm under pressure
  • Exceptional communicator and problem-solver
  • Experience working with SEO teams or web development sprints
  • Demonstrated experience leveraging AI tools and technologies to improve workflows, enhance decision-making, or drive innovation.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
