Ardent is seeking a Web Developer to join our team.  

This is an on-site position, located in Quantico, VA.

Position Description:

Ardent is seeking a Web Developer to support the development and maintenance of modern web applications for federal government programs. This role focuses on front-end development using modern JavaScript frameworks while integrating with enterprise back-end systems, including ITSM and geospatial platforms. The developer will build responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces while ensuring compliance with federal accessibility standards and supporting secure, mission-critical environments.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Develop and maintain front-end web applications using modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Vue.js, or Angular).
  • Build responsive, user-friendly interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Integrate front-end applications with REST APIs, including ITSM and geospatial services.
  • Work with ArcGIS API for JavaScript and other geospatial web technologies as needed.
  • Apply UI/UX design principles to enhance usability and user experience.
  • Ensure compliance with Section 508 and web accessibility standards.
  • Utilize tools such as npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, and Git for development and version control.
  • Collaborate with back-end developers and stakeholders to support system integration.
  • Support testing, debugging, and performance optimization of web applications.
  • Participate in Agile development processes and contribute to team deliverables.

Requirements: 

  • Active TS/SCI required.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 4+ years of front-end development experience.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
  • Experience with React, Vue.js, or Angular.
  • Experience integrating REST APIs.
  • Experience with development tools such as npm/yarn, Webpack/Vite, and Git.
  • Understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • Knowledge of Section 508 and web accessibility standards.
  • Experience integrating with enterprise back-end systems.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with ArcGIS API for JavaScript.
  • Experience with D3.js or other data visualization libraries.
  • DHS Trusted Tester certification.
