About the role

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Vice President to lead our Corporate Strategy and FP&A functions. This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with deep investment banking and corporate strategy experience who thrives at the intersection of entertainment, media, and technology. You will be instrumental in shaping our competitive positioning, evaluating strategic transactions, modeling future revenue opportunities, and serving as a key liaison with our investor base as we scale our business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Competitive Intelligence and Market Analysis: Lead comprehensive analysis of competitors, emerging players, and market dynamics across theatrical, streaming, and international distribution to inform strategic positioning and investment decisions.
  • Deal Structuring and Evaluation: Assess and structure potential M&A transactions, strategic partnerships, co-production arrangements, and content acquisition deals, providing actionable recommendations to senior leadership and the board.
  • Revenue Modeling and Business Development: Build sophisticated financial models to evaluate ancillary revenue streams including international sales, format licensing, merchandising, live experiences, and emerging entertainment formats and distribution channels.
  • Marketing ROI Optimization: Measure and optimize marketing return on investment across all channels and initiatives by developing ROI frameworks, attribution models, and performance benchmarks; partnering with the programming team to align spend with revenue, LTV, CAC, margin, and profitability goals; and translating performance data into actionable insights that inform budget allocation and strategic decision-making.
  • Content Licensing ROI Optimization: Measure and optimize content licensing return on investment, partnering with the programming team to align spend with revenue, CPH, subscriber acquisition, engagement and retention value, translating data into actionable insights that inform licensing deals and schedules. 
  • Investor Relations and Fundraising Support: Facilitate in communications with investors, prepare board materials and investor presentations, support capital raise initiatives, and communicate our strategic vision and financial performance.
  • Strategic Planning and Scenario Analysis: Drive long-term strategic planning processes, develop business cases for new initiatives, and conduct scenario analysis to support major business decisions including platform expansion and content strategy pivots.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Partner with production, content, legal, and finance teams to ensure strategic initiatives are well-integrated and financially sound.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; MBA strongly preferred. 
  • At least 10 years of experience with substantial time in investment banking (M&A, media/entertainment coverage) and corporate strategy roles at leading entertainment, media, or technology companies. 
  • Strategic thinker with strong business judgment and the ability to operate effectively in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Proven track record of leading complex financial analyses, deal evaluations, and strategic initiatives with measurable business impact. 
  • Exceptional financial modeling, valuation, and analytical capabilities with expertise in entertainment business models and revenue streams. 
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills with experience presenting to senior leaders. 
  • Deep understanding of the entertainment industry landscape, streaming economics, content valuation, and emerging distribution models.


Salary & Benefits:

Salary: $200K - $250K
