VICE PRESIDENT, STRATEGIC ACCOUNTS – Workplace, West Division. The Vice President, Strategic Accounts – Workplace, is responsible for developing and driving the overall sales strategy in the Workplace Segment by promoting national account development across Tarkett. Responsibilities include leveraging existing strategic account relationships and developing new strategic accounts with end users that span multiple product offerings to grow sales and capture market share. Reporting to the Senior VP, Strategic Accounts, Commercial Business, the VP, Strategic Accounts, Workplace, will function as the company “go to” leader in regard to all activities tied to strategic accounts in the Workplace Segment in their targeted geographies.

Responsibilities
• In conjunction with other segment specific leaders, execute resilient and soft surface regions’ segment strategy to drive growth in the Workplace market segment for the entire portfolio of products across North America and globally where appropriate.

• Work closely with the sales leadership across Tarkett, supporting regional and national sales leadership and account executives in their respective regions and connecting all parts of TNA reinforcing all Tarkett flooring solutions.

• Develop and implement strategic account, segment strategy, sales plans, account targeting and development, direct and support sales activities, in conjunction with execution of marketing plans and forecasts to achieve objectives assigned annually for strategic account and segment growth.

• Actively involved in sales process by providing guidance to the field in identifying, developing, targeting and converting major national Workplace accounts to Tarkett.

• Support regional sales teams in the development of accounts while maintaining regional, national strategic account oversight.

• Conduct training as needed for end users and clients, as well as internal Tarkett team members, to grow and build product, segment expertise and Tarkett flooring leadership.

• Manage existing contracts and pursue new contracts to grow sales and market share.

• Serve in leadership positions within appropriate segment specific industry organizations to enhance industry expertise and further business opportunities.

• Initiate and support execution of RFPs within the region and segment, in coordination with the Account Executive, Strategic Support team, Contract Administration, Legal, Senior Leadership.

• Ensure all internal constituents are kept up to date on trends, best practices, product introductions, market and competitive information.

• Work with Segment Director and Marketing/Product Development to provide input regarding design direction based on customer and market feedback; also includes custom product designs.

• Assist with hosting key customers/potential customers at Tarkett offices as well as showrooms and manufacturing facilities.

• Travel as necessary to maintain or create personal contact with current and potential customers and key stakeholders.

• Develop and recommend assigned segment pricing strategy to produce the highest possible long-term market share.

• Evaluate sales research, adjusts sales strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions, drive global, national and regional strategy on major/large accounts.

• Partner with other Segment VPs, e.g., Education, Healthcare, Senior Living and Retail to bring required subject matter expertise to a Workplace account with sub-segment needs. Workplace sub-segments include Multi-Family and Life-Science.
• Monitor and provide updates on competitor sales and marketing activities.
• Consistently participate in sales forecasting and reporting through utilization of the CRM (Customer Relationship Management) database.
• Provide monthly updates regarding Strategic Account Progress and KPIs in support of   segment growth.
• Review and analyze sales performances against programs, quotas and plans to determine effectiveness.

• All other duties as assigned.

Desired skills and experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing or other related field required.
• Minimum of 8+ years of related sales experience required.

• Demonstrate high energy, passion and high achievement orientation.

• Exceptional collaborative style and commitment to being a team player.
• Results-driven, determined, and flexible, with exceptional organization, time management skills and disciplined work ethic.
• Self-motivated; capable of working independently and with a team.
• Strong presentation skills – in person and virtual: Teams, Zoom, etc.

• Strong computer skills – (Microsoft Office – Word, Excel, Powerpoint).

• Ability to manage both long and short term planning while seamlessly adjusting to fluctuating priorities.

• Strong capacity for managing multiple complex projects with a high level of organization and meticulous attention to detail.

• Possesses a proactive approach to problem solving, actively seeking opportunities for improvement with solutions in mind.

• Experience in commercial flooring industry strongly preferred.
