About Us

At Trustmi, we're on a mission to eliminate socially engineered fraud by empowering organizations with our Behavioral AI Security solutions. Our platform detects and prevents social engineering attacks like Business Email Compromise (BEC) and Vendor Email Compromise (VEC), delivering unmatched fraud prevention, error reduction, and enhanced operational efficiency. By stopping fraudulent payments before funds are transferred, we help businesses safeguard their revenue and build trust in every transaction.

About the Role
Trustmi is seeking a high-impact Vice President of Sales to lead our go-to-market strategy and drive revenue growth. As a key member of the executive team, you’ll oversee our entire sales organization—developing and executing a scalable sales strategy, building a high-performing team, and expanding our enterprise customer base. This is a rare opportunity to shape the sales function at a fast-growing, category-defining cybersecurity company.

You’ll be joining us at a critical moment—on the heels of record ARR growth and increased market demand for fraud prevention in the B2B payments space. This role will be instrumental in accelerating our momentum and establishing Trustmi as the go-to platform for securing business payments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy & Execution: Define and implement the go-to-market strategy, pipeline generation, and execution plans to meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Team Leadership: Recruit, onboard, and mentor a high-performing sales team, fostering a culture of performance, collaboration, and accountability.
  • Revenue Growth: Drive enterprise sales and strategic partnerships, focusing on finance, fintech, SaaS, and security sectors.
  • Forecasting & Metrics: Own sales forecasting, reporting, and KPIs to support executive-level decision-making.
  • Customer Engagement: Build trusted relationships with key enterprise customers and stakeholders to ensure long-term success and retention.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Marketing, and Customer Success to align on customer needs and drive continuous value.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitors, and regulatory changes to adapt and inform sales strategies.
Requirements
  • 10+ years of B2B software sales experience, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
  • Proven track record in cybersecurity sales (email security solutions - strong advantage).
  • Prior experience at an early-stage or hypergrowth startup.
  • Familiarity with sales tools like Hubspot, Salesforce, Gong, Outreach, and similar platforms.
  • Experience selling into enterprise accounts and managing long, complex sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to hire, develop, and lead high-performing sales teams.
  • Strong network within enterprise organizations, preferably across the East Coast.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Willingness to travel as required.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
