Who we need
We are looking for an entrepreneurial VP of Sales in Los Angeles, CA, to start our US media sales team from the ground up and establish JustWatch Media with studios, streaming services, and media agencies domestically. This position is based in Los Angeles to facilitate frequent client meetings, while also offering the possibility of working partly from home.

We need a hands-on closer with a proven track record in sales within the entertainment industry, a strong network in Hollywood, and a passion for movies and TV shows. The ideal candidate is driven by delivering results and has the entrepreneurial spirit to grow and lead the US sales operation.

Who we don't need
For this role, we are not seeking candidates with backgrounds primarily in business development, partnerships, or marketing, nor those with sales experience from fields such as content or licensing. Additionally, we are not looking for candidates who focus mainly on strategy, sales processes, or structure and prefer a hands-off approach.

What you will be doing

  • Use your network to establish JustWatch as the go-to partner for studios, streamers, and media agencies.
  • Drive revenue by personally closing deals while achieving and exceeding ambitious sales targets.
  • Build a top-performing key account sales team from scratch. 
  • Help position and adapt JustWatch Media to the US market.

What we need from you

  • At least 10+ years in media sales (not marketing or biz dev) in the entertainment industry in Hollywood.
  • Strong network within media and marketing teams and senior leadership from studios, streamers, and media agencies.
  • Hands-on sales with a clear bias to action and a closer mentality.
  • Entrepreneurial drive, ambition, and ownership to build and grow our US office and teams.
  • Constant learning, delivering results, and creating value are the core values of everyone at JustWatch and we are looking for these traits in every person we hire.
