- Hold a significant role in shaping overall sales strategy for the company, including revenue growth, gross margin performance, customer expansion, supplier alignment, market development, and commercial execution.
- Lead, develop, and scale the sales and trading organization, including sales leaders, Traders, account owners, and other commercially focused team members.
- Build a stronger, more unified operating system across customers, suppliers, categories, geographies, pricing, pipeline, forecasting, and account strategy.
- Partner with C-Suite, executive leadership, operations, logistics, finance, and supply chain teams to align sales strategy with company priorities, profitability goals, and operational capabilities.
- Drive profitable growth across wholesale, retail, foodservice, distribution, and other strategic customer segments.
- Identify and pursue new markets, channels, customer segments, supplier opportunities, product categories, and strategic growth initiatives.
- Strengthen senior-level relationships with major customers, suppliers, industry partners, and strategic accounts.
- Provide executive leadership on high-value negotiations, major account strategy, supplier relationships, pricing decisions, and complex commercial opportunities.
- Create clear performance expectations, KPIs, reporting rhythms, sales cadences, and accountability systems for the sales organization.
- Improve visibility into pipeline, revenue, margin, customer concentration, supplier coverage, market risk, deal quality, and team performance.
- Ensure the sales team operates with urgency, discipline, responsiveness, ownership, and strong commercial judgment.
- Build and develop sales leadership capacity across the organization, including coaching, succession planning, performance management, and capability building.
- Partner with leadership on sales compensation, incentives, territory/account design, hiring plans, organizational structure, and resource allocation.
- Help the business scale by standardizing the right sales processes, tools, reporting, and best practices while preserving entrepreneurial flexibility and speed.
- Monitor egg market dynamics, pricing changes, supply-demand shifts, freight considerations, customer needs, competitive activity, and broader food industry trends.
- Represent the company externally with major customers, suppliers, industry associations, trade shows, conferences, and strategic partners.
- Support international and cross-border growth opportunities where relevant, including customer/supplier development, logistics considerations, and regulatory awareness.
- Reinforce a culture of high standards, humility, responsiveness, hard work, innovation, profitability, and follow-through.
- Serve as a senior commercial voice in executive-level planning, company growth strategy, and long-term business building.

Qualifications:
- 15+ years of progressive sales, commercial, trading, business development, or revenue leadership experience.
- 7+ years of experience leading sales teams, sales leaders, Traders, brokers, account managers, or other revenue-producing commercial teams.
- Strong background in one or more of the following: eggs, food sales, produce, protein, perishables, commodities, brokerage, wholesale distribution, agriculture, import/export, or supply chain-driven commercial environments.
- Proven success building, scaling, and leading high-performing sales organizations in fast-paced, margin-sensitive, relationship-driven markets.
- Demonstrated ability to drive profitable revenue growth, gross margin improvement, account expansion, supplier leverage, and commercial execution.
- Strong executive presence with the ability to build trust with ownership, executive leadership, customers, suppliers, and internal teams.
- Deep commercial acumen and comfort making decisions in markets where pricing, supply, freight, customer demand, and competitive conditions shift quickly.
- Experience leading teams that manage both customer and supplier relationships strongly preferred.
- Proven ability to build structure, accountability, reporting, and operating cadence without overcomplicating or slowing down the business.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience leading major customer, supplier, pricing, and contract discussions.
- Experience developing sales leaders, managing performance, raising standards, and building bench strength in a growing organization.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort using sales data, market data, Excel, reporting, and KPIs to drive decisions.
- Entrepreneurial, highly accountable, and energized by ambiguity, growth, speed, and hands-on problem-solving.
- Comfortable in a high-performance culture with high expectations, rapid change, and a startup feel.
- Experience selling into or leading teams that sell into wholesale, retail, foodservice, or distribution accounts preferred.
- Experience with international markets, cross-border trade, freight considerations, or import/export environments preferred.
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or relevant executive education preferred.
