We are looking for a Vice President, Sales to join our Public Sector Sales team. This individual is responsible for driving revenue growth and developing strategic partnerships focused on federal, state, and local government organizations. that will sell the Progyny family building product. This role requires deep expertise in public sector procurement, healthcare industry trends, and relationship management with key stakeholders. The VP will be instrumental in shaping the sales strategy, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and expanding the company’s footprint in the public sector.  

 

 What you’ll do… 

  • Develop and execute a targeted sales strategy to grow Progyny’s presence within the Public Sector space. 

  • Drive revenue growth by securing large-scale government contracts, grants, and procurement opportunities. 

  • Oversee the RFP/RFI response process, ensuring competitive positioning and compliance with government requirements 

  • Stay informed about government healthcare initiatives, funding opportunities, and regulatory changes that impact the industry. 

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers, policymakers, and government agencies. 

  • Represent Progyny at industry events, conferences, and public sector forums. 

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, legal, and product development, to support sales initiatives. 

  • Negotiate and structure complex deals that align with government procurement processes. 

  • Become an expert on Progyny’s product and presentations to prospective customers 

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability within the team. 

 

 About you…  

  • Bachelors degree in Business, Communication, Healthcare Administration, Public Policy, or a related field.  

  • 10+ years of selling healthcare products or point solutions, with a proven track record in public sector healthcare sales; including but not limited to: Federal, State, Local and Education verticals.  

  • Strong understanding of government procurement processes, contracting vehicles, and compliance requirements. 

  • Deep knowledge of healthcare industry challenges, trends, and public health initiatives. 

  • Taft Hartley experience is a plus. 

  • Ability to navigate complex sales cycles and influence decision-making at the highest levels. 

  • A proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets consistently. 

  • Outstanding communication (interpersonal and presentation) with the ability to convey the Progyny messaging in both in person and via remote sales capacity. 

  • Demonstrated passion and motivation to sell an innovative family building product/s and drive new business. 

  • The ability to develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization. 

  • Experience with a CRM (Salesforce experience is a plus).

In compliance with New York City's Wage Transparency Law, the annual salary [wage] range for NYC-based applicants is: $170,000 - $180,000. There are a variety of factors that go into determining a salary range, including but not limited to external market benchmark data, geographic location, and years of experience sought/required. Progyny offers a total compensation package comprised of base salary, cash bonus, and equity.
