** This role is sales commission eligible with an average base pay of $185k and target OTE ranging from $325k-$400k **  

As our VP, Strategic Sales - PAS, you will be responsible for selling Physician Advisory Services solutions, which include:

  • Medical Necessity Reviews
  • Concurrent and Retrospective Chart Reviews
  • Level-of-Care Determinations
  • Compliance Support for Utilization Management and Case Management Processes

This position requires developing and maintaining relationships while partnering with the broader commercial team to collaborate and drive sales with hospitals and healthcare providers. The right candidate must have strong selling skills and the ability to engage clinical leadership teams, utilization review (UR), and case management departments. You will identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to increase sales. The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare sales and knowledge of services, outsourcing, and software solutions within Physician Advisory Services and revenue cycle management.

Every day in this role, you will:

  • Pursue, develop, and sustain Physician Advisory Services sales leads and prospects in the hospital and healthcare provider vertical.
  • Build strong relationships with clinical leaders, UR teams, and case management departments to understand their challenges and position R1 solutions effectively.
  • Demonstrate significant knowledge and experience in selling Physician Advisory Services and RCM-type solutions to VPs and C-level executives.
  • Develop and execute a strategy in collaboration with the commercial team that aligns with company objectives, focused on rapidly building brand awareness and driving new revenue, including a focus on engaging and penetrating new client locations.
  • Meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual goals as assigned, including accurately forecasting attainment on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
  • Frequently travel within the sales territory to provide onsite presentations to VP and C-level staff within hospitals and healthcare systems.
  • Communicate effectively to deliver department goals, respond to market trends, and meet unexpected challenges involved with functioning independently in a fast-paced sales environment.

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • Extensive direct sales and business development experience selling Physician Advisory Services/Mid cycle solutions
  • Strong domain knowledge of the entire Revenue Cycle Management and Provider processes.
  • Experience with selling outsourcing, staffing, and software solutions.
  • Ability to travel nationwide as necessary (up to 40%).
For this US-based position, the base pay range is $110,000.00 - $181,244.55 per year . Individual pay is determined by role, level, location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
