Drive Enterprise Growth. Shape the Future of Healthcare.

About Carenet Health

Carenet Health is a San Antonio based healthcare engagement company, and we are growing fast.  For more than 30 years we have helped health plans, health systems and healthcare companies engage their members and patients at every step of their journey.  Today we serve more than 500 clients, we have grown 500%, and we have delivered 18 straight years of profitability.  We operate multiple nearshore and offshore locations alongside our U.S. teams.  Our services span member and patient engagement, contact center and BPO services, clinical support and nurse advice, telehealth, advocacy and navigation, patient access and scheduling, and digital and AI-enabled engagement.  With Invene and Orbita now part of Carenet, we also bring healthcare data, AI and conversational technology to the table.

Why This Role Exists

We are growing.  2027 is a step change for Carenet, and we are adding executive sales talent who open doors and keep opening them.  We are making a real investment in this role, and in you.  In return, we are looking for the best talent in the industry: sellers who build relationships every day.  This role owns new logo and expansion growth with national and regional health plans.

The Engine Behind You

You will not be selling alone.  Carenet has invested heavily in building a growth engine around every seller.

  • Marketing: A dedicated Marketing team, a refreshed brand and website, targeted campaigns and a calendar of industry events, all built to put you in front of the right buyers.
  • Sales Development: An SDR team that works with you 1:1 and provides outbound calling support on your accounts, with an expectation of at least 2 net new meetings per week on your calendar.
  • Deal support: Sales Engineering, executive sponsorship and a Deal Desk that helps you shape and win large pursuits.
Who We Are Looking ForYour network.

You already know the people who run member experience, operations and quality at health plans.  You have relationships with Chief Customer and Member Experience Officers, VPs of Member Services, Stars and Quality leaders, Medicaid and Medicare operations leaders, and procurement at national and regional plans.  These are people who see you as a leader and a champion of their business.

Your work ethic.

You have grit.  You keep going through a long and demanding sales journey.  You are always on offense: you build your own pipeline, you do not wait for leads, and you bring the next idea to the client before they ask.  You are intellectually curious.  You learn the client's business, the market and our solutions deeply enough to have a different conversation than everyone else in their inbox.  You take ownership of your number and your word.  You are a trusted advisor.

What You Will Do
  • Build and execute a territory plan across national and regional health plans: Medicare Advantage, Medicaid managed care, Blue plans and commercial.
  • Open new logos and expand within existing health plan clients.
  • Lead large, RFP-driven, multi-year pursuits for member engagement and contact center services (domestic and offshore), Stars and quality outreach, medication adherence, nurse advice and care management support, Medicaid redetermination and digital engagement.
  • Build multi-threaded executive relationships, become the partner a plan calls before an RFP exists, and build account strategies for large clients.
  • Bring deals to Deal Desk early and shape the win strategy with the executive team.
  • Work with your SDR, Marketing and Sales Engineering to build pipeline through targeted campaigns and events.
  • Keep Salesforce and HubSpot current and forecast accurately every week.
How You Will Be Successful
  • Bookings (ACV) against an annual quota, set each year
  • Qualified pipeline created and coverage against your number
  • Executive meetings held with decision makers
  • Forecast accuracy and pipeline hygiene in Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Growth of your relationships into multi-threaded account relationships
What You Bring
  • 10+ years of enterprise sales to health plans, with BPO, outsourcing, member engagement, contact center or care management services strongly preferred
  • Experience closing multi-year deals with large, complex buying committees
  • Working knowledge of Medicare Advantage Stars, Medicaid and member experience economics
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • A track record of exceeding quota, with results you can show
  • Comfort running complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles, including RFPs
  • Regularly working deals that exceed $5M in annual revenue
  • Fluency with Salesforce, HubSpot and LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or the ability to get there fast
How We Hire

Our process looks at the whole picture: your talent, experience, network, relationships and account leadership.  In your second interview, bring a written network plan: 25 named relationships at organizations in this segment, their title, how you know them, and how you would turn each into a first meeting.  We will walk through it together.  It tells us more than a resume.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
