About the role

The Vice President of Project Management will lead day-to-day operations of our enterprise-level Project Management Office (PMO), ensuring projects across the organization are delivered with excellence, efficiency, and alignment to strategic objectives. This role will provide leadership to a team of project managers, directly own select high-impact strategic projects, and serve as the primary liaison to the SVP of Operational Excellence as it relates to organizational project management. The VP will be instrumental in driving project delivery standards, fostering cross-functional collaboration, and optimizing the use of enterprise-level project management tools.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, manage, and continuously enhance the enterprise PMO, ensuring effective governance, methodology adherence, and delivery excellence.
  • Provide strategic oversight and leadership to project managers, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Own and directly manage selected strategic, high-priority projects from initiation through delivery.
  • Partner closely with the SVP of Operational Excellence to align PMO activities with organizational priorities and long-term goals.
  • Oversee portfolio management processes, resource allocation, and project prioritization across multiple business units and geographies.
  • Champion and standardize the use of enterprise-level Asana tools, driving adoption, best practices, and integration across teams.
  • Ensure project management methodologies (Adaptive, Hybrid, Predictive) are applied appropriately to suit project needs, timelines, and complexity.
  • Serve as a key communicator and bridge between project teams, executives, and stakeholders, providing transparency on progress, risks, and outcomes.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, efficiency gains, and innovative approaches to project delivery.

Essential Criteria: 

  • 3+ years of proven leadership experience driving PMO strategy and execution
  • Demonstrated success in managing teams of project managers and leading cross-functional project initiatives.
  • Strong track record of delivering complex, enterprise-level projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Expertise in multiple project management methodologies.
  • Deep knowledge and hands-on experience with enterprise-level project management tools.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, functional, and global environment.

Desirable Criteria:

  • Professional certifications in project management (e.g., PMP, CAPM, etc.)
  • Experience in organizational change management
  • Global SaaS experience preferred. 
  • Degree in Business, Management, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with other enterprise workflow automation and systems in addition to Asana.
  • Experience leading PMO maturity assessments and implementing improvement roadmaps.
