About your new role:

We’re looking for a VP of Product to own the full product lifecycle from customer discovery to revenue impact in a fast-growing, AI-powered organization. This is a senior leadership role for someone who combines strong product judgment, deep customer empathy, and a clear bias toward growth and monetization.

You’ll lead a small, high-performing product team while remaining hands-on in roadmap definition and customer discovery. You’ll work closely with customers, sales, and go-to-market teams to understand buying behavior and pain points, translating those insights into a focused roadmap that prioritizes speed, adoption, and ARR impact.

Partnering tightly with Engineering and Executive Leadership, you’ll ensure products are built and shipped using AI-first principles leveraging modern AI tools to accelerate delivery, improve decision-making, and create differentiated customer value. This is not a feature-delivery role. It’s a business leadership position with clear accountability for product strategy, market readiness, and measurable revenue outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own product strategy and roadmap with explicit alignment to revenue growth, retention, and expansion goals.
  • Embed AI-first thinking into how products are designed, built, and delivered leveraging LLMs, copilots, automation, and internal agents to accelerate both product capabilities and team velocity.
  • Serve as the voice of the customer, deeply understanding user workflows, pain points, and buying behavior and turning that insight into differentiated product value.
  • Partner closely with Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success to ensure products are market-ready, monetizable, and clearly positioned.
  • Drive product-led growth initiatives, including pricing, packaging, onboarding, and usage-based expansion.
  • Establish and track product KPIs (ARR influence, adoption, retention, expansion, time-to-value).
  • Lead and scale a high-performing product team with a strong bias toward execution, accountability, and outcomes.
  • Balance speed and quality shipping fast while maintaining trust, reliability, and security.
  • Takes on additional responsibilities and projects as needed to support the success of the team and organization.

What you'll need for success:

  • 10+ years of product leadership experience, including ownership of revenue-impacting products.
  • Proven track record of building and scaling products that directly drive ARR growth.
  • Strong AI literacy experience incorporating AI/ML or LLM-powered features into real, customer-facing products (not just experimentation).
  • Deep customer empathy paired with sharp commercial instincts.
  • Comfortable operating at both strategic and tactical levels from vision and narrative down to roadmap tradeoffs.
  • Experience working in close partnership with Engineering, Sales, and Executive teams.
  • Data-driven decision maker who measures success by outcomes, not output.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
