Position Overview

We're seeking a VP Product to lead our product strategy and execution during a pivotal growth phase. This role requires a seasoned product leader who can operate as both a strategic visionary and hands-on executor in our fast-paced, high-growth environment. You'll be responsible for driving product innovation across our threat intelligence platform while building and scaling our product organization.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is a member of the executive leadership team. The VP Product will initially manage a lean but growing product team and will be responsible for scaling the organization as the company grows.

Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Product Leadership
  • Define and execute comprehensive product strategy aligned with company vision and market opportunities

  • Own the product roadmap for our dual-use, AI-powered threat intelligence platform, balancing enterprise SaaS and DefenseTech requirements

  • Drive product-market fit initiatives across commercial and government sectors

  • Establish product metrics, KPIs, and success criteria that align with business objectives

Cross-functional Collaboration
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and AI/ML teams to deliver on our product roadmap

  • Collaborate with Sales and Customer Success to understand enterprise customer needs and drive voice of the customer into product strategy and requirements

  • Interface with executive team and board on product performance, roadmap updates, and strategic initiatives

  • Collaborate with go-to-market focused members of the executive team to prepare competitive analysis and market positioning to maintain our differentiation in the threat intelligence space

Product Development & Execution
  • Oversee end-to-end product development lifecycle from ideation to launch

  • Drive innovation in our core platform areas: street-level threat analytics, AI-powered forecasting, risk scoring, and data visualization

  • Lead the development of new product lines and features focused on dual-use defense

  • Champion user experience and design thinking across all product initiatives

Team Building & Leadership
  • Build, mentor, and scale a lean but powerful product team including Product Managers, Product Designers, and QA

  • Establish product development processes, frameworks, and best practices for a high-growth environment across a dual use roadmap

  • Foster a culture of customer obsession, data-driven decision making, and rapid experimentation

  • Recruit top product talent and develop career growth paths for team members

Required QualificationsExperience & Background
  • 10+ years of product management experience with 5+ years in senior product leadership roles

  • Deep experience in Enterprise SaaS with focus on geo-spatial, intelligence, or data analytics platforms

  • Proven track record in dual-use, DefenseTech, GovTech, intelligence, law enforcement, or serving government/defense customers

  • Experience scaling products from early growth stage through enterprise maturity

  • History of successful product launches and go-to-market execution in complex B2B environments

Preferred QualificationsAdditional Experience
  • Experience in startups that have successfully scaled from Series A to growth stage

  • Background in intelligence, defense, or national security sectors

  • Previous experience with government contracting (SBIR, prime contracts, etc.)

  • Track record of building products that serve both commercial and government markets

  • Experience with international expansion and global customer requirements

Technical Skills
  • Experience with modern data platforms, real-time analytics, and big data processing

  • Knowledge of natural language processing and automated data extraction technologies

  • Understanding of open source intelligence (OSINT) and threat intelligence collection methods

  • Familiarity with GIS technologies and geospatial analysis platforms

Leadership Qualities
  • Experience as a player/coach in small, high-growth teams

  • Proven ability to operate effectively with limited resources and competing priorities

  • Strong communication skills with ability to present to C-level executives and government stakeholders

  • Cultural fit for a mission-driven organization focused on protecting people and assets globally
