The Role

About the Role

At Fisher & Paykel, we create moments of delight in the heart of the home. We’re seeking an experienced VP of Product to shape and lead our product strategy for the US market. This senior leader will drive growth across retail, builder, and e-commerce channels, ensuring our portfolio and pricing strategies deliver both market share and profitability.

The VP of Product is a key member of the US Leadership Team, partnering closely with global and local leaders to align strategy, execution, and delivery. You will provide hands-on leadership to a high-performing team, while ensuring the Fisher & Paykel brand is consistently represented across every customer touchpoint.

You Will:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Lead the development and execution of US product strategy, including new product introductions, portfolio optimization, and pricing.
  • Translate global imperatives into local plans, ensuring short- and long-term objectives are achieved.
  • Track and report on performance using high-performance processes and tools, ensuring disciplined delivery to plan.
  • Partner with global functions to ensure seamless cross-functional collaboration.
  • Provide regular performance updates to local and global executive leadership.

Product Line Leadership

  • Maintain deep knowledge of product lines, pricing, and market dynamics, with the ability to anticipate shifts that impact sell-through.
  • Oversee product launches to ensure successful placement, positioning, and sales results.
  • Drive portfolio optimization by strengthening high-performing products and rationalizing low-performing ones.
  • Identify new market opportunities and create momentum for the brand and products.
  • Ensure consistent representation of Fisher & Paykel’s brand value proposition across all customer touchpoints.
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations governing product and business activity.

Operational & Financial Leadership

  • Drive operational excellence through structured forums, processes, and tools that provide visibility to performance.
  • Lead forecasting, budgeting, and reporting to support profitable growth.
  • Partner with Sales, Finance, and Marketing to prepare and manage annual operating budgets.
  • Leverage cross-functional strengths to capture opportunities and address organizational challenges.

Team Leadership

  • Build, inspire, and retain a high-performing product team.
  • Recruit, develop, and coach leaders, ensuring strong succession and capability building.
  • Foster a culture aligned with Fisher & Paykel’s values and step-up leadership behaviors.
  • Support leadership development initiatives across the US Market Group.

Health & Safety

  • Model strong leadership in health and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all legal requirements and Fisher & Paykel Health & Safety System standards.
  • Oversee hazard reporting, risk management, and incident investigation.
  • Ensure staff, contractors, and visitors are managed to H&S standards through supervision and training.

You Have

  • Proven success influencing, planning, and presenting to drive sustainable growth.
  • Global leadership experience transforming and growing a Product Line, from strategy creation to execution, delivering market share and profitability gains.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to balance big-picture strategy and key details.
  • Commercial and financial acumen, with hands-on experience in budgeting and fiscal management in a global consumer business.
  • Senior leadership background working across sales, marketing, finance, supply chain, and customer service.
  • Minimum of 10 years of product management experience and 5 years of leadership experience– preferably in luxury premium appliances
  • Experience in consumer products, appliances, or durable goods (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree; MBA or advanced degree highly desirable

The total target compensation (base salary + variable incentive) range for this position is $160,000 - $220,000. This range is a guideline and may not reflect your exact offer. Factors considered when extending an offer include (but are not limited to) education, experience, relevant skills, internal equity, and alignment with market data.
