Job Description:

Build the Future of Social Technology at Scale

Social is evolving fast. The technology that powers it should too.

At dentsu, we're looking for a strategic product leader who understands the intersection of social media, marketing technology, data, and product innovation. If you're passionate about building enterprise products, translating complex business needs into scalable solutions, and shaping the future of social activation technology, this could be the role you've been waiting for.

As our VP, Product Management, Social, you'll define the vision, strategy, and roadmap for a portfolio of products that support audience intelligence, social activation, creator workflows, reporting, measurement, and emerging AI-powered capabilities across our media technology ecosystem.

This is a highly visible leadership role where you'll influence senior stakeholders, collaborate across business and technology teams, and drive products from concept through launch and adoption.

What You'll DoSet the Vision
  • Develop and communicate a multi-year product vision for dentsu's social activation portfolio.
  • Identify market opportunities across social media, creator marketing, audience intelligence, AI, identity, privacy, and workflow automation.
  • Turn ambiguous business challenges into actionable product strategies and measurable outcomes.
Drive Product Strategy & Execution
  • Lead cross-functional product initiatives involving business, engineering, data, design, operations, and external partners.
  • Prioritize investments, features, integrations, and platform enhancements based on customer needs and business impact.
  • Ensure products move from vision to delivery while maintaining alignment with strategic goals.
Create Scalable Solutions
  • Transform one-off client solutions into repeatable, productized offerings.
  • Improve workflows through automation, orchestration, and platform integration.
  • Establish operating models that support adoption, onboarding, support, reporting, and long-term growth.
Influence & Collaborate
  • Partner with senior leaders across social, media, technology, data, commercial, and product organizations.
  • Support executive presentations, strategic client discussions, product demonstrations, and new business opportunities.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on social technology, activation, audience intelligence, and product strategy.
What Makes You a Great Fit

You're a product leader who can see the big picture while remaining close enough to the details to get things done.

You likely bring:

  • 10+ years of product management, product strategy, AdTech, MarTech, media technology, SaaS, or related experience.
  • Experience building product vision and strategy, not just managing features or backlogs.
  • Deep understanding of social media technologies, workflows, and activation platforms.
  • Experience leading large, cross-functional initiatives with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
  • The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business decisions and actionable plans.
  • Exceptional executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
Why Join dentsu?

This is an opportunity to shape a strategic growth area within one of the world's leading marketing and technology organizations.

You'll have the chance to:

  • Define the future of social activation products at enterprise scale.
  • Influence AI-enabled and next-generation workflow solutions.
  • Partner with industry leaders across media, technology, and data.
  • Solve complex challenges with real business impact.
  • Help create products used by practitioners and clients across the dentsu ecosystem.
Ready to Build What's Next?

We're looking for a leader who understands social technology, thrives in complexity, and can turn vision into reality. If that sounds like you, we'd love to talk.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
