Make Your Mark:
The Vice President of Procurement is responsible for leading procurement efforts to efficiently and effectively enable departments and functional partners to maximize the value they receive from business partners to meet their objectives. The VP will work with departments throughout the company to lead centralized direct and indirect sourcing and procurement efforts. This will include working with internal stakeholders from initial need identification to final goods or service delivery. Specifically, this role will be responsible for the following processes: demand management, supply analysis/strategy, supplier identification, sourcing execution, contract negotiation, delivery planning and monitoring, purchase execution, and ongoing performance management and improvement.
You'll Get To:
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives and growth plans
  • Lead sourcing and contract negotiations for software, cloud services, professional services, and enterprise platforms
  • Build and manage a high-performing procurement function, including vendor risk management and spend governance
  • Partner with Legal to ensure contract compliance and risk mitigation
  • Implement and optimize procurement tools, systems, and dashboards to track spend and performance
  • Create and enforce procurement policies, ensuring alignment with financial controls and compliance standards (e.g., SOC2, ISO, FedRAMP)
  • Work with department leads to forecast purchasing needs, consolidate spend, and drive cost savings
  • Oversee vendor onboarding, performance tracking, and renewal processes
  • Continuously monitor market trends, supplier capabilities, and pricing benchmarks to drive value

What You'll Bring:
  • 15+ years of progressive procurement or strategic sourcing experience, with at least 5 years in a SaaS, fintech, or high-growth tech environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or related field; MBA or procurement certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) a plus
  • Deep experience managing SaaS, cloud, and enterprise tech vendor contracts and negotiations
  • Strong knowledge of procurement compliance, risk, and best practices in a regulated or security-conscious environment
  • Experience in Supporting Global Operations: Proven success managing vendors and procurement strategies across multiple geographies and currencies.
  • Strong Financial Acumen: Ability to analyze total cost of ownership (TCO), ROI, and budget impact in alignment with corporate goals.
  • Excellent Communication and Executive Presence: Comfortable presenting to the C-suite and board-level stakeholders, especially in budget, compliance, or risk discussions.
  • Track Record of Change Management: Demonstrated ability to lead procurement transformations or change initiatives in high-growth, dynamic environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional leadership skills
  • Familiarity with procurement platforms (e.g., Coupa, SAP Ariba, Zip) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)

Salary Range:
USD $243,000.00 - USD $304,000.00
Pay Transparency Statement:
Placement within this range depends upon several factors, including the applicant's prior relevant job experience, skill set, and geographic location. In addition to base pay, BlackLine also offers short-term and long-term incentive programs, based on eligibility, along with a robust offering of benefit and wellness plans.
