DIRECTOR, OPERATIONS - EL SEGUNDO, CA  
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Operations to lead our manufacturing operations and supply chain management. The Director of Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring efficient and effective execution of our production processes, meeting quality standards, and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
This is a full-time onsite opportunity based out of El Segundo. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Production Planning and Execution:
    • Develop comprehensive production plans aligned with company objectives and customer requirements.
    • Monitor production progress and performance indicators to identify bottlenecks and proactively address production challenges.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery of products while meeting quality and cost targets.
  • Operations Management:
    • Direct and coordinate all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and capacity management.
    • Drive process improvements to enhance productivity, reduce lead times, and minimize costs.
    • Implement best practices in lean manufacturing and operational excellence to streamline workflows and maximize resource utilization.
  • Manufacturing Leadership:
    • Provide leadership and guidance to the production team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards related to aerospace manufacturing.
    • Champion initiatives to enhance employee safety, well-being, and job satisfaction.
  • Supply Chain Management Leadership:
    • Direct strategic sourcing strategies to ensure a robust and reliable supply chain.
    • Oversee procurement activities, including vendor selection, contract negotiation, and supplier relationship management.
    • Monitor supply chain performance metrics and implement corrective actions as needed to optimize efficiency and minimize risk.
  • Oversight of 145 Repair Station Operations:
    • Lead and mentor the 145 Repair Station Manager, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory compliance.
    • Provide strategic direction and support to the Repair Station Manager to enhance operational performance and adherence to FAA regulations and industry standards.
    • Monitor repair station activities and performance to ensure high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business administration, or related field; (advanced degree preferred).
  • 10+ Years experience managing MRO, customer support, new product builds and field returns.
  • Proven track record of leadership in manufacturing, operations, or supply chain management within the aerospace industry.
  • Extensive knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes, materials, and technologies.
  • Strong strategic planning and decision-making skills with the ability to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious goals in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience working in a startup or entrepreneurial environment is highly desirable.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.
  • Aerospace experience preferred

The posted salary range reflects the potential base pay for this role, adjusted to account for varying geographic markets. Final compensation will be based on factors such as your location, job-related skills, experience, and internal alignment, including equity and benefits.
