Meet Benevity

The world’s coolest companies (and their employees) use Benevity’s technology to take social action on the issues they care about. Through giving, volunteering, grantmaking, employee resource groups and micro-actions, we help most of the Fortune 100 brands build better cultures and use their power for good. We’re also one of the first B Corporations in Canada, meaning we’re as committed to purpose as we are to profits. We have people working all over the world, including Canada, Spain, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the United States and more!

We’re looking for a strategic, data-driven, and purpose-aligned VP of Growth Marketing to join our marketing leadership team and fuel our next phase of growth. With 12+ years of experience in Demand Generation, Digital, Events, and Account-Based Marketing (ABM) in Enterprise B2B SaaS environments, you’re a builder, a coach, and a catalyst—equally comfortable designing strategy and rolling up your sleeves.

In this role, you’ll architect and execute an integrated growth strategy across new logo acquisition, conversion, and in-base expansion. You’ll be accountable for predictable pipeline creation and marketing’s contribution to revenue, using a framework that balances strategic insight with operational excellence.

This role is guided by our M.A.A.P.P. marketing framework, which ensures our efforts are:

  • Market-Centric: rooted in deep customer understanding and real-time market insights
  • Agile and Curious: driven by experimentation, iteration, and learning
  • Aligned and Collaborative: executed in lockstep with Sales, Product, and CS
  • Performance-Focused: measured by impact, optimized through data
  • Purpose-Driven: infused with our mission and values in everything we do

What You’ll Do:

Market Centricity

  • Stay ahead of market dynamics, buyer behavior, competitive positioning, and emerging technologies to inform go-to-market strategies
  • Drive targeted, persona-based campaigns that address real buyer needs across the full customer journey

Agility and Curiosity

  • Foster a test-and-learn mindset, leveraging A/B testing, sprint-based execution, and continuous feedback loops to optimize campaigns and channels
  • Scale and refine inbound and outbound programs by iterating on data-driven insights

Alignment and Collaboration

  • Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Product Marketing, Client Success, and Operations to align pipeline goals, journey mapping, and campaign strategy
  • Lead with transparency, gaining buy-in through clear communication of goals, strategy, execution, and impact

Performance Focus

  • Own the end-to-end pipeline generation process, leveraging marketing automation (e.g., Marketo, Salesforce, 6Sense) and attribution models to measure and optimize performance
  • Forecast pipeline with accuracy, track leading and lagging indicators, and drive accountability to revenue contribution

Purpose and Mission

  • Inspire your team through authentic leadership and a clear connection to our company’s mission
  • Build a culture of inclusion, growth, and impact where people are empowered to do their best work and support causes that matter

What You Bring:

  • 12+ years of experience in B2B SaaS marketing, with deep expertise in demand generation, digital marketing, ABM, and field/events
  • Proven ability to scale marketing-sourced pipeline in complex sales environments
  • Fluency in pipeline forecasting, attribution, and marketing performance metrics
  • Strategic thinker with strong operational rigor and attention to detail
  • Experience leading and mentoring high-performing marketing teams
  • Skilled in using tools like Marketo, Salesforce, 6Sense, and third-party demand gen partners
  • Strong cross-functional influence and collaboration abilities
  • Purpose-driven mindset with a passion for marketing that creates impact

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
