We are seeking a strategic and hands-on Vice President of Global Tax & Treasury to lead our global tax and treasury functions during a time of growth and transformation. This executive role is responsible for setting the vision, ensuring compliance, optimizing global tax structure, and safeguarding the company’s liquidity and financial risk posture.

You’ll play a key role in driving enterprise value through strategic tax planning and global treasury operations—all while building a high-performing team to support our global footprint.

 Key Responsibilities:

Tax Strategy & Leadership

  • Lead and manage all aspects of the company’s tax function, including global direct and indirect tax compliance, tax reporting (ASC 740), audits, and risk management.
  • Responsible for all areas of tax including but not limited to income tax, indirect tax (sales/use/VAT/GST), R&D credits, transfer pricing and international tax matters.
  • Develop and execute global tax strategy aligned with corporate growth goals and evolving tax regulations.
  • Identify and lead strategic tax projects and process improvements, particularly in relation to entity rationalization, IP structuring, transfer pricing, R&D tax credits, repatriation planning and systems automation.
  • Coordinate with finance, legal, and other cross-functional stakeholders to provide tax input on key business initiatives, including M&A and geo expansion.
  • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, local, and international tax laws and reporting requirements.
  •  Manage relationships with external tax advisors, auditors, and global tax authorities.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze changes in tax legislation and digital tax trends affecting the tech industry and the company (e.g., OECD Pillar 2, BEAT, digital services taxes), assessing impact and implementing necessary adjustments to policies and procedures.

Treasury Strategy & Operations

  • Lead global cash management and investment strategy, liquidity planning, intercompany funding, and working capital optimization.
  • Develop and manage banking and credit facility relationships, including understanding and presenting products and services that may improve cash-cycle and simplify company operations.
  • Drive FX modeling and risk management strategy.
  • Ensure adequate cash forecasting systems and tools are in place to support real-time visibility across global entities.
  • Align capital structure strategy with long-term financial planning.

Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build, mentor, and scale high-performing global tax and treasury teams that deliver operational excellence in a fast paced environment.
  • Develop trusting, collaborative relationships with peers.
  • Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, and Corporate Development.
  • Act as primary advisor to executive leadership for tax and treasury guidance, risks and opportunities.
  • Communicate frequently, proactively and concisely about tax and treasury topics with an ability to translate complex concepts into simplified explanations or presentations.

 Qualifications:

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in tax and treasury, including at least 5 years in a senior leadership or executive role.
  • Strong background in U.S. and international corporate tax, including deep knowledge of ASC 740, transfer pricing, and global tax reform (BEPS, Pillar Two, etc.).
  • Proven track record managing complex, multinational structures and treasury ecosystems.
  • Experience in the technology sector preferred.
  • Exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and cross-cultural communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA, JD, MBA, or MST a plus.

Salary Range: $205,000 - $270,000 + bonus

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
