About Remo

Remo is building the new standard of dementia care. As a virtual dementia care provider, our expert clinical team designs personalized, comprehensive care around patient and family needs (instead of a one-size-fits-all approach). We empower family caregivers by connecting them with a vibrant community of other caregivers, expert content, and tools to manage the entire dementia journey – from anywhere, at any time. Our mission is simple — to provide accessible, comprehensive, quality dementia care for every person who needs it.

About the Role

It’s a rare moment in time for dementia care – the government recently announced an innovative payment model (Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience, GUIDE) that brings much-needed care to patients living with dementia and transformative support to their family caregivers. As a result of this policy momentum and the advent of novel treatments for neurodegenerative diseases, health plans nationwide are looking to support family caregivers and design care management programs for their members living with dementia. We are looking for a VP / Director of Growth who thrives off building meaningful relationships with healthcare executives, driving consultative sales motions in value-based care and has experience working with life sciences companies.

About the Team

Remo’s Growth team focuses on two core objectives – we build meaningful, long-standing partnerships with our customers, and we build trust with our end users (the dyads we serve). Our efforts are consultative in nature (not transactional) and put the needs of the customer/dyad first. Our team culture is incredibly collaborative. There are no stupid questions and we will actively solicit your most creative ideas. We’re building the future of dementia care together – we need people who aren’t afraid of doing blue sky thinking, want to lean into feedback and have a pure growth mindset.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Business Development: Prospect, engage and contract with health plans and life sciences companies; understanding their specific needs and challenges as it relates to delivering better dementia care (via care management or novel treatments) and supporting family caregivers.

  • Artifact Creation: Develop proposals, pitch decks, customized outreach campaigns in support of the pipeline activity you generate.

  • Presentation: Effectively communicate the value proposition of Remo’s services to prospective clients and craft custom messaging / platform demonstrations to appeal to various stakeholders across different customer archetypes.

  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain meaningful connections with decision makers in industry, virtually and in-person.

  • Strategy & Analytics: Work closely with our data team to use internal data / external data (ingested from prospective customers) to tell a compelling story about the value Remo can drive as you propel our growth strategy forward.

  • Market Intelligence: Keep a close pulse on industry trends and regulatory changes while tracking the competitive landscape.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with our Product and Clinical teams to deeply understand how the solution works and what levers are being pulled to generate the health outcomes.

You May Be A Good Fit If You
  • Have 10-12 years in business development and/or consulting within the healthcare industry.

  • Have a demonstrated track record of negotiating and successfully closing complex deals with health plans and life sciences companies; i.e. managing your own pipeline and consistently hitting quota.

  • Have a strong understanding of population health, value-based care and healthcare data.

  • Are highly skilled at understanding what makes people tick.

  • Are an expert communicator and have excellent written/verbal communication skills.

  • Have a strong desire to learn, grow and consistently push past your limits.

  • Are excited about working within a highly collaborative sales team.

  • Are incredibly comfortable with ambiguity.

  • Are comfortable with domestic travel at least monthly.

You’re The Ideal Candidate If You
  • Have experience working with data and visualization tools.

  • Have experience navigating complex buying processes and managing RFP processes.

  • Have experience selling care delivery / SaaS solutions in healthcare.

  • Are highly organized and thrive in high-pressure environments.

  • Are deeply passionate about making a difference in patients’ lives.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
