This is a highly visible leadership role, reporting directly to the CMO, with close partnership across Product, Sales, Executive Leadership, and Investor Relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Brand & Narrative Leadership

  • Define and evolve Cyera’s brand strategy, positioning, and narrative, ensuring clarity, consistency, and differentiation across all audiences
  • Translate complex technical concepts (AI security, data governance, control planes) into compelling, credible stories that resonate with CISOs, executives, analysts, and the market
  • Own Cyera’s brand architecture, voice, and messaging frameworks, ensuring alignment across product, GTM, and corporate communications

Corporate Marketing & Communications

  • Lead Cyera’s corporate communications strategy, including PR, executive communications, thought leadership, and media relations
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the executive team on company messaging, announcements, funding narratives, and industry moments
  • Build Cyera’s presence as a trusted authority in AI security, shaping conversations across industry forums, conferences, and media

Analyst, Influencer & Community Engagement

  • Own analyst relations strategy and execution, partnering closely with product and leadership to shape category perception
  • Develop strong relationships with industry analysts, press, influencers, and ecosystem partners
  • Elevate Cyera’s leadership team as credible, sought-after voices in AI security and enterprise risk

Creative & Content Excellence

  • Oversee high-impact content across brand campaigns, keynotes, launches, web, customer stories, and executive thought leadership
  • Partner with Product Marketing on major launches to ensure story, message, and market impact are world-class
  • Build and lead a creative and communications team that blends strategic rigor with exceptional craft

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Work closely with Product, Sales, Customer Success, and People to ensure Cyera’s narrative is consistent from external brand to internal culture
  • Provide strategic guidance on major company moments: launches, events, M&A, crises, and executive visibility
  • Establish metrics and feedback loops to measure brand impact, share of voice, narrative adoption, and market perception

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate marketing, brand, communications, or related leadership roles, ideally in B2B technology
  • Proven track record of building and scaling a category-defining brand at a high-growth company
  • Exceptional storytelling skills — able to simplify complexity without losing credibility
  • Experience working closely with executive teams, including CEOs and boards
  • Strong judgment, presence, and ability to operate effectively in moments of ambiguity or rapid change
  • Prior experience in cybersecurity, cloud, AI, or enterprise software strongly preferred

IDEAL TRAITS:

  • Strategic thinker with editorial instincts and creative taste
  • Comfortable balancing vision and execution — equally at home shaping a narrative or reviewing copy
  • Deep empathy for CISOs and enterprise buyers, with the ability to speak their language authentically
  • Builder mindset — excited to create systems, teams, and platforms that scale
  • Calm, credible leader who elevates the people around them

BENEFITS - Why Cyera?

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
