Job Description

Wilshire seeks a VP, Corporate Development, to join the team in Santa Monica, New York, or Chicago. Join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization through strategic growth initiatives and corporate transactions.

What you'll do:

  • Identify and evaluate potential acquisition targets, strategic partnerships, and growth opportunities aligned with our company's long-term objectives
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and prioritize strategic initiatives for growth
  • Conduct comprehensive market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making
  • Develop financial models, perform due diligence, and prepare detailed business cases for potential ventures
  • Lead cross-functional teams through the entire acquisition process, from initial assessment to post-merger integration
  • Prepare and present strategic recommendations and reports to senior leadership
  • Monitor industry trends and provide insights to guide corporate strategy
  • Manage relationships with key stakeholders, including executives, investors, and advisors

Qualifications

What you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred
  • 5 - 10 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, management consulting, or related fields
  • Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, with experience in valuation and deal structuring
  • Excellent project management abilities and attention to detail
  • Outstanding communication and presentation skills
  • Proven track record of successfully executing corporate transactions and strategic partnerships
  • In-depth knowledge of mergers and acquisitions processes, industry dynamics, emerging trends, and competitive landscapes
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Additional Information

  • This position will work on a hybrid model out of our Santa Monica, Chicago, or New York office
  • We offer a comprehensive benefits package including a collaborative work environment, generous PTO, 401(k) match, affordable & comprehensive medical/dental/vision insurance, CFA and other professional membership reimbursement, and more.

The pay range for this position is $150,000-$225,000. However, base pay will be determined on an individual basis considering various factors, including location, qualifications, skills, and experience. The total compensation package includes eligibility for an annual discretionary bonus and a full range of health and financial benefit offerings, which will be provided in conjunction with an offer of employment.
