Role Summary/Purpose:
Reporting to the SVP, General Manager – TJX, the VP, Client Development Leader is responsible for partnering closely with the client and the business to drive strategic initiatives that positively impact the ongoing growth and profitability of the TJX portfolio. This role provides leadership and strategic support across a mix of prod
ucts and capabilities, and serves as a liaison between the client and Synchrony’s cross-functional teams.

Essential Responsibilities
Collaborate with the General Manager, internal stakeholders and the client to develop detailed growth strategies, action plans, and operating rhythms for the TJX portfolio.
Provide overall leadership and project management of portfolio initiatives, business strategies, and products/capabilities to drive growth and achieve success metrics.
Create business cases, strategies, roadmaps and prioritization around potential and established product offerings integrated with the partner.
Collaborate with key stakeholders across functions to drive alignment and execution of strategic initiatives, anticipate and navigate roadblocks.
Represent client initiatives, requests and interests with SYF key subcommittees and SYF leadership engagements.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver value-added analysis and reporting to client to evaluate and drive program performance.
Provide leadership to ensure adherence with all external and internal Compliance and Regulatory requirements. Lead resolution of TJX portfolio compliance and legal issues and document process improvements.
Create and deliver tools and resources for the purposes of decision making, strategic discussions, evaluating key performance indicators and driving accountability.
Develop/maintain strong working relationships with the client, cross-functional team and key stakeholders.
Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree and minimum 10 years of equivalent work experience in the Financial Services and/or client management field; OR in lieu of degree, High School Diploma / GED and 14 years’ experience in Financial Services and/or client management.
Minimum of 5 years leadership experience in financial services or within industry.
Minimum of 5 years project /program management experience with the demonstrated experience leading multiple projects simultaneously.
Minimum of 5 years of client management experience/external market/client facing role with a proven track record of being able to drive growth and develop strong partner relationships.
Minimum of 5 years' experience in delivering formal communications to either senior business leaders or key external business partners.
Strong overall knowledge of card business including technology/IT, risk, collections, operations, marketing and finance
Strong financial acumen
Skilled communicator with strong influencing skills
Significant travel required (may be up to 50%+)
Ability and flexibility to travel for business as required
Desired Characteristics:
East Coast hub location preferred
Direct team leadership experience
Prior Commercial (CD, Sales, Marketing) experience
Deep cross-functional expertise across all areas of the business
Strong retail and digital knowledge
Strong marketing, creative and analytical skills
Ability to influence senior corporate decision makers
Ability to effectively interface and represent Synchrony at the most senior levels in the client organization
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to innovate and find creative solutions to meeting business goals
Proven ability to work independently yet as key member and contributor to a broader team
Grade/Level: 14
The salary range for this position is 150,000.00 - 250,000.00 USD Annual and is eligible for an annual bonus based on individual and company performance.
Actual compensation offered within the posted salary range will be based upon work experience, skill level or knowledge.
Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA, NY Metro and Seattle.
Eligibility Requirements:
You must be 18 years or older
You must have a high school diploma or equivalent
You must be willing to take a drug test, submit to a background investigation and submit fingerprints as part of the onboarding process
You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act.
New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 18 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must consistently meet performance expectations and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance expectations).
