Konovo is a global healthcare intelligence company on a mission to transform market research through technology- enabling faster, better, connected insights.

Konovo provides healthcare organizations with access to over 2 million healthcare professionals, the largest network of its kind globally. With a workforce of over 350 employees across 5 countries: India, Bosnia and Herzegovina, the United Kingdom, Mexico, and the United States, we collaborate to support some of the most prominent names in healthcare. Our customers include over 300 global pharmaceutical companies, medical device manufacturers, research agencies, and consultancy firms.

As we transition from a service-oriented model to a product-driven platform, we are expanding our leadership team. We are looking for a Vice President, Sales – MRA (Market Research Agencies) to expand our sales efforts. This is a unique opportunity to join an established leader in primary market research data collection, while it helps pioneer new platform-based tools.  These tools will help drive a more efficient, intuitive, and dynamic research workflow.

If you are a proven track record as a sales leader who thrives on building business through relationships, collaborating with colleagues, and shaping growth strategies in an evolving industry, this is the role for you.

How You’ll Make an Impact

Drive New Client Growth

  • Lead Konovo’s expansion into new and dormant MRA client relationships, expanding Konovo’s presence across a broader set of agencies and consultancies.
  • Introduce Konovo’s evolving platform capabilities and differentiated services to existing clients via new buying centers, wherever the opportunities present themselves.
  • Become a thought leader and platform sales SME (subject matter expert), to help consult with the broader MRA team on how to bring evolving platform capabilities to market.

Own Revenue & Commercial Outcomes

  • Carry and deliver against a senior-level revenue quota.
  • Convert opportunities into profitable, repeatable client relationships.
  • Balance growth, win rates, and margin discipline.

Pioneer a Platform-Oriented Sales Motion

  • Help transition client relationships from one-off projects toward ongoing, programmatic, and subscription-style engagements.
  • Shape how new offerings and services are positioned and commercialized within the MRA market.
  • Act as a bridge between market needs and Konovo’s product and services roadmap.

Lead & Influence

  • Help guide other sales leaders / business developers as applicable.
  • Serve as a subject-matter expert within the MRA commercial organization, sharing best practices, insights, and winning approaches.
  • Represent Konovo at industry events and within the broader healthcare research ecosystem.

Operate with Rigor

  • Own forecasting, pipeline management, and CRM discipline.
  • Establish and track KPIs tied to new client acquisition, existing client expansion, overall revenue growth, and commercial performance.
  • Partner cross-functionally with delivery, to ensure seamless handoff and project management for clients.

 What We’re Looking For

  • 10+ years of senior sales or business development experience within healthcare market research, insights, or adjacent data services.
  • Proven success building revenue from new and dormant client relationships.
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to introduce new concepts, services, or models to skeptical or unfamiliar buyers.
  • Experience operating in complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Commercially astute, data-driven, and comfortable operating in evolving business models.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and strong command of Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Willingness to travel in support of sales efforts and industry presence.

 Why Konovo

  • Shape the future of how healthcare research is bought and delivered.
  • Play a senior role in a company actively evolving its commercial model.
  • Work with cutting-edge data, technology, and platform-driven services.
  • Join a collaborative, global organization with room for leadership growth.
  • Make a real impact on how insights drive healthcare decision-making.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
