About Democratic National Committee

We’re hiring! Are you fired up to elect Democrats up and down the ticket?

Position Summary:

In 2026, the DNC is launching a first-of-its-kind national partisan voter registration program to close registration gaps among key constituencies and expand the electorate ahead of upcoming elections. The DNC’s flagship VR initiative is a paid national youth fellowship program, When We Count, to train the next generation of organizers to register voters on-the-ground in their communities.

This program is launching first in the battleground states of Arizona and Nevada. Regional Managers will directly manage teams of When We Count paid fellows to reach ambitious voter registration goals using a variety of in person, digital, and relational tactics.

This position will report to the in-state Voter Registration Program Manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent coaching and mentorship for Fellows on organizing fundamentals and voter registration best practices.
  • Provide consistent coaching, performance feedback, and professional development for all Fellows to ensure they meet weekly voter registration goals.
  • Analyze and leverage data reports to optimize voter registration collection across the region and coach Fellows on goal-planning.
  • Build a motivating, fun team culture for Fellows and foster community across all Fellows in your assigned region.
  • Ensure accurate and timely collection, tracking, and submission of voter registration forms collected by the program in compliance with all state election and voter registration laws.
  • Develop and maintain regional systems to manage Fellows’ schedules and materials across your assigned region.
  • Create regional training materials and constantly surface the most effective, creative, and scrappy best practices from Fellows to improve the program statewide and nationally.
  • Build strong relationships with local organizations and community partners to facilitate voter registration coordination and minimize duplicative efforts.
  • Other duties as assigned to support the department and the DNC's mission.

Qualifications:

  • At least 1-2 cycles of organizing experience.
  • Deep familiarity with youth organizing and voter registration tactics and programs.
  • A passion for talent development and training: for most of our Fellows, the When We Count Fellowship will be their first job and exposure to politics.
  • Strong data literacy: ability to quickly analyze reports and metrics and provide actionable recommendations for program and staff improvement.
  • A fierce commitment to winning elections and innovating in organizing.
  • Dedication to diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging in all aspects of the voter registration program.
  • Familiarity with Arizona or Nevada politics is a plus.
  • Access to a vehicle and a smart phone.

Travel: This position will require travel within the state of Arizona/Nevada.

Salary: The starting salary for the Voter Registration Regional Manager position is $63,000.00, on an annualized basis, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

This is a full-time, exempt position, that may require work on weekends. This is a cycle-based position with an end date of November 15, 2026. This position is in the bargaining unit represented by SEIU Local-500.

Due to federal campaign finance rules, only U.S. citizens or U.S. green card holders are eligible for this role. See 52 U.S.C. 30121; 11 C.F.R. 110.20(i).

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
