Visual Design Lead

As Visual Design Lead at Huge, you will be responsible for driving the creative output across a range of innovative projects. We expect you to bring a strong pedigree in visual design, along with a demonstrated passion and expertise in digital experiences. You will play a crucial role in developing brand identities, creating stunning visuals for digital products and advertising materials, and providing direction and leadership to designers working on your project teams.

Additionally, you will be responsible for accurately and efficiently scoping design phases of projects and representing the company at pitches and industry events as required.

What you’ll be doing
  • Lead and inspire the design team to maintain a strong creative vision across digital product work.
  • Deliver exceptional visual design solutions that elevate user experience and product strategy.
  • Ensure design quality, consistency, and usability throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Create visually compelling interfaces, flows, mockups, and prototypes using Figma and modern design tools.
  • Define and evolve design systems and component libraries to scale visual standards and consistency.
  • Apply strong visual and interaction design principles to create intuitive, accessible digital experiences.
  • Mentor and guide junior designers, helping them grow both visual craft and product thinking.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (product, engineering, research, strategy) to align design with business and user needs.
  • Present work to stakeholders and clients, clearly articulating decisions and design rationale.
What we’d like to see
  • Bachelor’s degree in Visual Design, Graphic Design, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in visual design with a strong focus on digital products and design systems.
  • Proven expertise in Figma, prototyping, and component systems.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to guide and inspire other designers.
  • Solid project management capabilities and ability to scope design phases effectively.
  • Experience presenting work in client-facing meetings and design reviews.
  • Passion for storytelling through digital experiences and creating meaningful product impact.

This role is currently not available for hire or work in New Mexico and Hawaii.

The salary range for this position is as listed below. Exactly where a prospective employee will be paid within this range will depend on, among other factors, the actual salary ranges for current and former employees who are either currently filling a similar role or did in the past; the candidate’s depth of experience and qualifications; the level of specialization the role requires; budgetary considerations; the market demand for that role and the local market conditions that exist where the employee will be based. For current Huge employees, tenure will also be a consideration.
