Job Summary:

We’re looking for a skilled Visual Content Producer to capture high-impact visual content that showcases Reolink’s innovative security cameras and smart home solutions in real-world North American settings. This role will focus on producing stunning photography and short-form video content that highlights product features—like 4K clarity, color night vision, solar power, smart detection, ultra-wide views, and vandal-proof durability—while building trust, reassurance, and aspiration around home and business protection.

You’ll work hand-in-hand with the Creative Director, Copywriter, marketing team, and HQ to create authentic, lifestyle-driven visuals for digital campaigns, social media, website hero imagery, product launches, retail displays, email marketing, and cultural activations. The ideal candidate combines technical photography expertise with a strong sense for storytelling, able to make security tech feel approachable, modern, and empowering for everyday homeowners and small business owners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and execute on-brand photoshoots and video shoots featuring Reolink products in residential homes, backyards, small businesses, urban environments, and rural settings across North America.
  • Capture compelling product photography that emphasizes key features (e.g., crystal-clear 4K/16MP resolution, vivid ColorX night vision, 180°/360° panoramic views, solar-powered reliability, and smart AI detection).
  • Produce lifestyle and situational content that demonstrates real-world use cases—peace of mind at night, family safety, business monitoring, weather-resistant performance, and easy installation.
  • Create short-form video content, b-roll, and motion graphics assets for social media, YouTube, ads, and product demos.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and cross-functional teams (Social, PR, Retail Marketing, Product) to align visuals with campaign strategies and messaging.
  • Edit and post-produce raw footage and images to deliver polished, high-quality assets ready for multi-channel use (optimizing for web, social, retail, and print).
  • Maintain a consistent visual style that feels trustworthy, innovative, clean, and premium while staying true to global brand guidelines and North American consumer preferences.
  • Scout locations, manage lighting (natural, studio, low-light/night scenarios), direct subjects/models, and handle on-set logistics for efficient production.
  • Stay current on visual trends in consumer tech, home security, and lifestyle photography to keep Reolink’s content fresh and competitive.
  • Archive and organize assets in a digital asset management system, ensuring easy access for teams.
  • Travel occasionally for shoots, events, or product testing in diverse North American locations.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a photographer and/or content producer, ideally in consumer tech, electronics, home/security products, lifestyle, or related fields.
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating product photography, lifestyle shoots, low-light/night photography, and short-form video production.
  • Proficiency with professional camera equipment (DSLR/mirrorless, cinema cameras), lighting setups, drones (if applicable), and editing software (Adobe Lightroom, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, After Effects, etc.).
  • Experience shooting in challenging conditions (outdoor weather, low light, motion) relevant to security camera use cases.
  • Understanding of North American audiences, with the ability to create relatable, aspirational visuals that resonate with homeowners and small businesses.
  • Strong collaboration skills; comfortable working with creative, marketing, and agency teams.
  • Knowledge of digital content optimization (aspect ratios, file formats, SEO-friendly visuals for social/web).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment while meeting deadlines.
  • Bonus: Experience with security/tech product shoots, videography for product demos, or content for e-commerce/retail channels.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
