Overview

You will be a critical member of the team, developing dynamic, engaging, and effective video-based enablement content, animations, and engaging and motivating, sales-facing motivational videos. We run Sales Enablement differently at Verkada and give our team members autonomy and ownership to innovate and adapt to drive success. You'll work directly with our senior sales leadership, product marketing, and other internal stakeholders to transform complex information into easily digestible and memorable learning experiences, while reinforcing what it means to be a part of the Verkada team.
What You'll Do:
- Design and Develop Video & Animated Content:
- Conceive, script, shoot, and edit a wide range of video content for our sales teams, including but not limited to: SME interviews, product demonstrations, sales process walkthroughs, sales skill development, role-playing scenarios, and new hire onboarding modules.
- Create engaging and informative animated videos, motion graphics, and other dynamic visual content to simplify complex concepts and enhance learning.
- Translate complex sales strategies and product information into clear, concise, and compelling video and animated formats.
- Utilize various production techniques (e.g., screen recording, live-action, animation, motion graphics) to create visually appealing and engaging content.
- Ensure all video and animated content aligns with brand guidelines, company messaging, and sales enablement objectives.
- Create General Sales Enablement Content:
- Beyond video and animation, contribute to the development of other high-impact sales enablement content, which may include sales playbooks, battlecards, presentations, email templates, and internal communications that need a strong eye for detail.
- Ensure consistency in messaging, tone, and brand across all content formats.
- Collaborate and Strategize:
- Partner with sales leadership, product marketing, sales operations, and subject matter experts (SMEs) to identify training and content needs, gather content requirements, and ensure accuracy of information.
- Contribute to the overall sales enablement content strategy, identifying opportunities for video, animation, and other content integration and innovation.
- Participate in content reviews and incorporate feedback to refine and improve training and enablement materials.
- Manage and Optimize Content:
- Organize and manage a library of video, animation, and other content assets, ensuring easy accessibility for the sales team.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest video production, animation, and content creation trends, tools, and best practices.
- Analyze the effectiveness of training and enablement content through metrics and feedback, making data-driven improvements.
- Other Responsibilities:
- Participate in planning for quarterly and yearly sales kickoffs, providing direct support for the senior leadership team and Chief Revenue Officer in executing their goals.
What You Bring:
- Proven Experience:
- 3+ years of experience in video production, animation, general content creation, or instructional design, with a strong portfolio showcasing video training content and animated examples.
- Experience in a sales enablement or B2B sales environment is a significant plus.
- Video & Animation Production Expertise:
- Proficiency with professional video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, etc.)
- Strong experience with motion graphics and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects or similar software) is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of video pre-production (storyboarding, scripting), production (lighting, audio, camera operation), and post-production workflows.
- Experience with screen recording software (e.g., Camtasia, Loom, Zight, etc).
- Content Creation Acumen:
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to craft clear, concise, and materials
- Ability to create engaging narratives and structure content for optimal learning retention.
- Communication & Collaboration:
- Excellent verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Creative & Problem Solver:
- Highly creative with a keen eye for detail and visual storytelling.
- Self-starter with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive in identifying solutions and improving processes.

Annual Pay Range
At Verkada, we want to attract and retain the best employees, and compensate them in a way that appropriately and fairly values their individual contribution to the company. With that in mind, we carefully consider a number of factors to determine the appropriate starting pay for an employee, including their primary work location and an assessment of a candidate's skills and experience, as well as market demands and internal parity. A Verkada employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, depending on their role, including sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of restricted stock units (RSUs)
Below is the annual on-target earnings (OTE) range for full-time employees for this position, comprised of base compensation and commissions (if applicable).
