Block LLP is seeking a highly creative Social Media Video Editor to help build one of the most recognizable personal injury law firm brands on social media. This is not a traditional corporate editing role. We're looking for someone who understands internet culture, social media trends, audience behavior, and what makes people stop scrolling.
The ideal candidate lives in the world of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and emerging social platforms. They understand the difference between content that simply looks good and content that performs. They know how to create compelling hooks, build retention, and transform raw footage into engaging content that captures attention and drives engagement.
You should be someone who naturally studies viral content, understands platform trends, and gets excited about experimenting with new formats, editing styles, and creative ideas. If you regularly find yourself analyzing why certain videos perform better than others, you'll likely be a great fit for this role.

What You'll DoSocial Video Editing & Content Production- Edit high-volume short-form and long-form video content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and other digital platforms.
- Transform raw footage into engaging content optimized for audience retention and social media performance.
- Create compelling hooks, captions, transitions, graphics, and visual storytelling elements.
- Ensure content is tailored to platform-specific best practices and audience behaviors.
- Maintain consistency in quality, branding, and messaging across all content.
- Work closely with the marketing team, attorneys, and leadership to bring content ideas to life.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute creative concepts for future content.
- Assist with content shoots and capture footage as needed.
- Help organize and manage content assets and production workflows.
- Stay immersed in social media trends, viral content formats, platform updates, and emerging editing styles.
- Identify opportunities to incorporate trending formats while maintaining brand relevance.
- Continuously test and refine editing approaches to improve content performance.
- Bring fresh ideas that help the firm stand out in a competitive digital landscape.
- Utilize AI-powered tools to improve editing efficiency, caption generation, content ideation, and production workflows.
- Stay current on emerging AI tools and technologies that support content creation.
- Help improve internal content production systems and creative processes.
Requirements
- 2+ years of professional video editing experience.
- Strong portfolio showcasing social media content, short-form video, or creator-focused work.
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar editing software.
- Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and social media content trends.
- Excellent storytelling, pacing, and audience-retention instincts.
- Experience editing vertical video content for social media platforms.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Experience with motion graphics, Adobe After Effects, or animation tools.
- Familiarity with AI tools used in content creation and editing workflows.
- Experience filming social media content or assisting with video production.
- Experience creating content for brands, agencies, media companies, or creator-led businesses.
- Understanding of content performance metrics and audience engagement trends.
- Photography or videography experience.
