About Us

SmartPropFirm is an all-in-one platform for prop traders — combining deals, rewards, tools, and education into a single ecosystem.

We help traders save more, make better decisions, and scale faster through content, tools, and exclusive offers.

Role Overview

We’re looking for a Video Editor who can turn ideas into high-performing content.

This is not just editing — it’s about understanding what keeps attention, drives engagement, and converts viewers into users.

You’ll work closely with the team to create content for YouTube, Twitter (X), and other platforms.

What You’ll Do
  • Edit short-form videos (Reels, Shorts, TikTok-style content)

  • Edit long-form YouTube videos (educational, breakdowns, live clips)

  • Add captions, motion graphics, sound effects, and pacing that maximize retention

  • Turn raw content (screen recordings, trading clips, talking head videos) into engaging videos

  • Repurpose long-form content into multiple short clips

  • Collaborate on content ideas, hooks, and storytelling angles

  • Optimize videos for performance (watch time, retention, CTR)

What We’re Looking For
  • Proven experience in video editing (portfolio required)

  • Strong understanding of short-form content and retention techniques

  • Ability to edit fast-paced, engaging videos (cuts, zooms, captions, effects)

  • Good sense of storytelling and flow

  • Self-driven and able to take ownership of content output

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

Bonus Points
  • Experience in trading, finance, or prop firms

  • Experience editing content for YouTube growth

  • Motion design skills (After Effects or similar)

  • Understanding of viral content formats and trends

What This Role Is Like

We’re a startup — small team, high ownership.

This role is for someone who:

  • Doesn’t just edit, but thinks like a content creator

  • Understands what makes videos perform

  • Can move fast and iterate quickly

  • Is willing to push quality and creativity

Why Join Us
  • Work on a fast-growing product in the prop trading space

  • Direct impact on content, growth, and brand

  • Opportunity to experiment and shape content strategy

  • Flexible, high-ownership environment

How to Apply

Send us:

  • Your portfolio (best edits, not everything)

  • 2–3 videos you’ve edited that performed well

  • A short note on how you’d improve our content

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
