We are seeking a skilled Video Editor with demonstrated experience editing videos for online learning environments. The ideal candidate has a strong background in post-production for higher education, e-learning, or corporate training. This role requires the ability to transform raw footage, screen captures, and multimedia assets into polished, engaging instructional videos that support diverse learners and meet accessibility standards.
Key ResponsibilitiesEdit raw instructional footage into clear, engaging videos.
Apply graphics, text overlays, callouts, and animations to highlight key concepts and align with learning objectives.
Ensure accessibility compliance (captions, transcripts, audio descriptions, WCAG/Section 508 standards).
Incorporate branding guidelines (intro/outro, lower-thirds, color schemes, typography) for consistency across courses.
Manage large-scale editing projects, handling multiple courses or modules concurrently while maintaining consistent quality and style.
Optimize video formats and compression for delivery in LMS platforms (Canvas, Blackboard, Moodle, etc.) and streaming environments.
Review and implement feedback from SMEs, QA teams, and learning designers in a timely manner.
3+ years’ professional video editing experience, preferably in online learning, higher education, or EdTech.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or comparable tools (Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve).
Strong understanding of motion graphics, text animation, and basic visual effects.
Experience with screencast and lecture capture editing.
Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and video delivery formats.
Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines.
