Role Summary

We’re looking for a Video Editor who thrives at the intersection of creativity and performance. In this role, you’ll create and edit high-impact CTV ads that grab attention in the first few seconds and drive measurable results. You’ll work with brand assets, UGC, and AI-generated content to produce multiple ad variations each day, collaborating closely with our creative, account management, and product teams.

This is an opportunity to shape the creative side of a fast-growing CTV platform, experiment with cutting-edge tools, and help brands of all sizes succeed on TV.

What You'll Do

  • Edit and produce multiple ad variations daily (around 5–10 depending on complexity).
  • Work with existing brand footage to cut and restructure for CTV delivery.
  • Build new concepts from scratch using stock footage, UGC, and AI tools (Waymark, Streamr, etc.).
  • Add motion graphics, end cards, transitions, and text overlays that align with brand guidelines.
  • Interpret creative briefs, manage feedback, and iterate quickly.
  • Keep a sharp focus on performance outcomes like viewer attention, clarity, and impact in the first few seconds.
  • Experiment with AI creative technologies to improve performance and efficiency.
  • Help define product requirements for future creative tools and features.
  • Be a part of shaping the creative function at a fast-growing startup in a breakout category.
  • Work at the cutting edge of AI and performance video advertising.
  • Test and iterate at a speed most agencies can’t match.
  • Contract-to-hire gives you the chance to show your skills and grow into a long-term role.

You’ll Be Successful in This Role if You Have/Are

  • We’re looking for an editor who understands both storytelling and the science of performance ads.
  • Strong skills in Adobe Premiere, After Effects, or similar tools.
  • Motion graphics expertise.
  • Experience editing digital ads for CTV, YouTube, or paid social.
  • Comfort working at high volume and fast pace.
  • A performance mindset—you know how creative decisions affect engagement, CTR, and ROAS.
  • Collaborative and open to feedback from multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience editing UGC-style content and polishing it for professional ads.
  • Understanding of CTV ad specs and deliverables (we’ll guide you here).

Why Join Us? This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of CTV creative and help brands drive real results through data-driven video advertising. If you’re passionate about editing eye-catching content, experimenting with new tools, and collaborating with a fast-moving team, we’d love to see what you can create.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
