Responsibilities

The Vice President, Technology Change Manager will serve as a visionary leader responsible for architecting, implementing, and optimizing a comprehensive Technology change management framework across the organization. This role is instrumental in fostering a culture of disciplined innovation, minimizing operational risk, and ensuring the stability and continuity of technology services through effective governance and process excellence.

The VP, Technical Change Manager, will have the following responsibilities: 

  • Design, establish, and continuously improve a robust Technology change management practice, aligning with industry best practices and organizational objectives. 
  • Lead the development and rollout of policies, procedures, and standards for managing Technology changes, including change advisory boards (CAB), change evaluation, and risk assessment protocols. 
  • Collaborate closely with business and technology stakeholders to understand needs, communicate upcoming changes, and ensure minimal disruption to operations. 
  • Oversee the end-to-end change lifecycle, from intake and assessment through implementation and post-change review, ensuring appropriate documentation and compliance at each stage. 
  • Develop and manage metrics, dashboards, and reporting tools to measure the effectiveness of change management activities, drive continuous improvement, and demonstrate business value. 
  • Champion organizational change readiness, partnering with communication, training, and support teams to facilitate adoption of new systems, processes, and technologies. 
  • Serve as the escalation point for critical or high-impact changes, providing executive guidance and risk mitigation strategies as necessary. 
  • Maintain awareness of emerging trends, regulatory requirements, and technological advancements to inform ongoing evolution of the change management practice. 

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications: 

  • 10+ years of progressive experience in IT service management, with at least 5 years in a senior change management or IT leadership role. 
  • Demonstrated expertise in building and scaling IT change management functions within complex, multi-site environments. 
  • In-depth knowledge of ITIL and other industry frameworks for IT Service Management. 
  • Strong leadership presence, with an ability to influence, negotiate, and drive alignment among cross-functional teams. 
  • Excellent communicator and relationship builder, adept at navigating complex stakeholder landscapes and championing change at all levels. 
  • Hands-on executor, capable of rolling up sleeves to drive initiatives while maintaining a clear vision for the future. 
  • Experience with regulatory compliance and audit processes related to IT change management. 
  • Change Management certification (e.g., Prosci ADKAR, CCMP) or ITIL certification preferred. 
  • Strong experience with Jira, ServiceNow and Confluence.
  • Financial services industry experience a plus.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, Finance or a related discipline. 

Base Salary Range

$200,000 - $225,000

In addition to a competitive base salary, you will be eligible to receive discretionary bonus incentives, a comprehensive benefits package and a flexible work arrangement.  The base salary offered will be commensurate with experience and/or qualifications, industry knowledge and expertise, as well as prior training and education.
