About the Role

NewRocket is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Vice President of Strategic Alliances to accelerate growth through high-impact partnerships. This executive role will lead the creation and management of scalable revenue streams by building strategic relationships with Private Equity (PE) firms and their portfolio companies. A secondary focus will include establishing alliances with niche services firms seeking a strategic ServiceNow partner.

This is a highly visible, hands-on position that combines strategic relationship-building with commercial accountability. The ideal candidate will have deep experience in the PE ecosystem, a track record of alliance-driven growth, and a strong grasp of enterprise transformation on the ServiceNow platform.

What You’ll DoPrivate Equity & Portfolio Companies (80%)
  • Develop and execute a global alliance strategy to systematically onboard PE-owned portfolio companies as NewRocket clients.

  • Build and nurture trust-based relationships with senior PE leaders—Operating Partners, Managing Directors, and Value Creation teams.

  • Create scalable revenue programs such as master services agreements and referral partnerships to establish NewRocket as the preferred ServiceNow partner.

  • Identify “Compelling Events” (e.g., M&A roll-ups, carve-outs, pre-IPO readiness) and align NewRocket solutions to mission-critical transformation timelines.

  • Collaborate with internal solutioning and delivery teams to ensure a seamless client experience from partnership to delivery.

  • Drive measurable outcomes, owning revenue pipeline generation and attainment tied directly to alliance activity.

  • Represent NewRocket as a thought leader in ITSM, ESM, and digital transformation within the PE community.

Niche Services & Value-Added Reseller Alliances (20%)
  • Identify and cultivate relationships with complementary firms—boutique consultancies, VARs, or industry specialists—that benefit from a ServiceNow partnership.

  • Design and execute partnership models that drive joint go-to-market initiatives, co-selling opportunities, and referral revenue.

  • Enable and manage partner success through consistent engagement, performance tracking, and solution alignment.

  • Meet or exceed revenue and pipeline targets established for each alliance.

What You Bring
  • Proven success developing and monetizing relationships within the Private Equity ecosystem.

  • Demonstrated ability to structure and close multi-million-dollar alliance partnerships.

  • Exceptional executive communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with comfort engaging C-suite stakeholders.

  • Strong knowledge of technology services, managed services, and ServiceNow’s enterprise value.

  • Highly organized, entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to operate in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.

  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced degree preferred.

  • Willingness to travel up to 50%.

Experience Required
  • 10+ years in strategic alliances, enterprise sales, or business development, including 5+ years focused on Private Equity.

  • 5+ years in a senior leadership role driving partnership-based revenue growth.

  • Experience with ServiceNow or equivalent enterprise technology platform preferred.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
