Job Description
We are seeking a highly strategic, relationship-driven VP of Strategic Accounts to lead and grow our largest customer relationships. This key role is a blend of executive customer engagement, revenue ownership, and team leadership.
You will manage a team of Strategic Account Directors (SADs) who are responsible for day-to-day account management, while also serving as the executive point of contact for the C-suite and senior stakeholders at our most complex, high-value accounts. Your success will be measured by retention, expansion, and the depth of strategic alignment across accounts.
Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Strategic Account Directors responsible for the daily success of our largest customers.
- Own executive-level relationships across the top accounts; act as the primary escalation point and long-term strategic partner.
- Define and execute growth strategies for each account—including product expansion, contract renewals, and multi-year roadmap alignment.
- Partner with Sales, Product, and Customer Support to ensure strategic accounts receive exceptional service and measurable value.
- Lead the annual budget, periodic forecast and report on account health, renewal risk, and expansion pipeline.
- Advocate for customer needs internally and influence roadmap prioritization in partnership with Product and Engineering.
- Ensure quarterly executive business reviews (QBRs) and long-term planning are happening at each account.
- Perform other duties as required.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of experience in strategic account management, customer success, or enterprise sales
- Minimum 5 years leading teams
- Strong executive presence and comfort engaging with C-level leaders
- Proven track record of driving customer retention and revenue growth across large, complex accounts
- Experience working in or alongside SaaS and/or IoT-based business models
- Skilled in building cross-functional alignment and navigating customer orgs with multiple stakeholders
- Data-driven mindset; able to interpret customer signals and turn them into action
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience managing top-tier enterprise accounts
- Background in smart tech, proptech, IoT, or B2B enterprise software
- Salesforce proficiency preferred
