POSITION SUMMARY
As Vice President of Sales, you will be responsible for leading our high-performance sales organization while expanding CIQ’s go-to-market strategy and execution. You will showcase excellent communication and negotiation skills. You will be responsible for proactively addressing clients’ needs and facilitating the sale process from beginning to end. You will contribute to an increase in sales and maintain our company-client relationships at a high standard. You will work with the sales team and other departments that are critical to the team’s success. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Continue to develop CIQ’s sales strategy to align with the company and sales teams' goals
- Define and execute scalable and measurable sales processes that drive customer acquisition and growth
- Collaborate cross-functionally with other internal departments to ensure alignment across CIQ’s internal and external stakeholders
- Analyze market trends and anticipate customer needs to discover potential growth and success opportunities
- Monitor sales performance of the sales team and provide metrics and KPIs to improve sales processes and create a goal-oriented culture
NEEDED TO SUCCEED
Successful candidates will have:
- Strong background in sales, leadership, and start-up companies
- Exposure working at a technical company (open-source or Linux preferred)
- Proven experience in developing and executing sales strategies
- Ability to negotiate and build long-lasting relationships with partners and clients
- A friendly, collaborative, humble, honest, and always striving to be better attitude
- Experience selling SaaS
- Has a network of Account Executives and Sales Engineers at their disposal
- Proven experience defining ICPs
- Proven execution selling into the Global 1K and the SMB
- Has grown a company from $15-$30M+
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- 10+ years of experience in sales leadership positions
- Bachelor’s degree required
