Udemy is headquartered in San Francisco with global offices in Australia, India, Ireland, Türkiye, and other US locations. What You Will Have — Your Skills:

  • Ecosystem Development: Expertise in building and scaling technology partner ecosystems within SaaS businesses, with a focus on creating mutual value through integrations. Important that you have done this at scale before, preferably at a SaaS company of $500M+ revenue.
  • Technical Partnership Strategy: Strong understanding of API strategies, integration models, and platform economics that drive successful technology partnerships.
  • Cross-Functional Leadership: Ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams to align ecosystem initiatives with overall business goals.
  • Technical Acumen: Sufficient technical knowledge to understand integration architectures, API design, and developer experience considerations.
  • Business Development: Exceptional skills in identifying, negotiating, and structuring technology partnership deals that drive adoption and revenue.
  • Strategic Vision: Ability to see the big picture of how an ecosystem strategy supports and enhances the core business while creating new opportunities.


About This Role:

The Vice President of Partner Ecosystems will report directly into the Udemy Business President, and will be responsible for leading Udemy's technology partnership strategy and execution, with a focus on building and scaling a robust ecosystem of technology integrations that drive platform adoption and revenue growth. This role aligns closely with the product org and will bring large opportunities across all of our global go to market organization.

 

This role requires a dynamic leader with deep experience in technical partnerships, API strategy, platform development, and integration models. You will build and lead a global team focused on identifying, developing, and managing strategic technology partnerships that enhance our product offering and extend our market reach. You will partner closely with Product, Engineering, Sales, Customer Success, and Marketing teams to ensure seamless integration experiences. 

 

The ideal candidate is based near one of our global hub offices, with priority given to San Francisco, Denver, Austin, Mexico City, or Dublin Ireland, but consideration will be given to all candidates who line up closest to this job description and profile.

 What You Will Be Doing:

  • Driving Ecosystem Strategy & Execution: Design and implement a comprehensive technology partner ecosystem strategy that enhances Udemy's platform value, drives adoption, and creates new revenue opportunities.
  • Building Integration Frameworks: Develop scalable integration frameworks and partnership models that enable seamless connections between Udemy's platform and third-party technologies.
  • Managing Technical Partnerships: Identify, pursue, and manage strategic technology partnerships with key players in the learning, HR tech, and enterprise software spaces.
  • Scaling Platform Adoption: Create and execute strategies to increase platform usage through integrated partner solutions, driving both user engagement and revenue growth.
  • Leading API & Developer Programs: Oversee the development and growth of API programs and developer communities that foster innovation on top of Udemy's platform.


Your Experience:

  • Leadership: 10+ years of experience in senior technology partnership or ecosystem roles, leading teams responsible for building and scaling partner integrations within SaaS companies.
  • Technical Partnerships: Demonstrated success in developing and managing technology partnerships that drive significant platform adoption and revenue growth.
  • Platform Development: Experience with API strategy, developer programs, or platform initiatives that successfully attracted and retained partners.
  • Integration Management: Track record of overseeing complex technical integration projects and ensuring their successful implementation.
  • Performance Oriented: Strong history of setting and achieving measurable goals related to partnership integration, adoption, and revenue generation.


At Udemy, we strive to be transparent around compensation. Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and a bonus. 

Hiring Compensation Range

$270,000$320,000 USD
