The Opportunity:
Bluewater is seeking a Vice President of Operations to lead and scale the company’s day-to-day operations as we grow. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for execution across operations, logistics, project management, systems, and internal processes. Reporting directly to the CEO, the VP of Operations will partner closely with sales and finance to improve operational efficiency and support continued team growth.
This role will lead and develop operations and project management teams, ensuring seamless order fulfillment, implementing scalable workflows, managing operating expenses, and building the structure needed to support rapid growth, evolving services, and a growing organization.
Requirements
Responsibilities:
Lead and manage day-to-day operations, driving execution, accountability, and operational discipline across teams, processes, and systems.
Oversee operating expenses, balancing cost control with investment in the needs of a growing and evolving business.
Manage and develop the project management team, owning project planning and coordination across proposals, budgets, contracts, and timelines, and supporting sales with project costing and execution planning.
Drive order execution, logistics, and billing, ensuring accurate fulfillment, timely delivery, clean operational handoffs, and accurate reporting.
Draft, review, and negotiate vendor and customer contracts, ensuring terms align with operational capabilities, risk tolerance, and commercial objectives.
Lead the strategy and development of core business systems, including CRM optimization and ERP implementation.
Continuously improve operational workflows and procedures to increase efficiency, reduce friction, and support the expansion of products and services.
Hire, train, and mentor teammates, building scalable teams and supporting continued organization growth.
Ensure operational compliance and core business administration, implementing policies, controls, and internal practices which scale appropriately with the business.
Establish and monitor key performance indicators to track performance, identify friction, and inform decision-making.
Define and execute key initiatives tied to quarterly and annual goals, and report progress and performance clearly to leadership.
Qualifications:
6–10+ years of experience in operations, including leadership responsibility.
Experience supporting or leading operational scalability at an early-stage or rapidly growing company, including process, systems, or team expansion.
Experience hiring, managing, and developing teams.
Experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting of operating expenses.
Success supporting revenue growth through operational execution, delivery, and cross-functional partnership with sales
Proven capability reviewing and negotiating vendor and customer contracts in partnership with sales, legal, or finance
Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively and drive solutions in fast-moving environments
Excited by operating with ambiguity, taking initiative, and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on execution

This is an in-person role
Base Salary: $175,000 - $200,000
Performance Bonus: $20,000 - $30,000
OTE: $195,000 - $230,000
