We're seeking a Vice President, Operations to lead our rapidly expanding West region, encompassing airports through the Mountain West, along the West Coast, up to Alaska and out to Hawaii. Reporting into CLEAR’s EVP Operations, this position will drive and uphold operational and customer service excellence, grow the business and inspire a team of 1,000+ front-line members. This is a fast-paced, hands-on, and exciting role that requires a can-do person who works with both autonomy and efficiency.

What you will do:

  • Own the day-to-day multi unit operations at our airports in the Mountain West, Pacific Northwest, California, Alaska and Hawaii 
  • Deliver on KPIs including security performance, member satisfaction (Net Promoter Score), sales (Clear Happiness), and people (employee satisfaction)
  • Establish deep relationships with internal and external stakeholders, regularly aligning with executive level external stakeholders to advance business interests
  • Further expand and develop the business in existing and new sites within your geography, including adoption of new products at existing sites
  • Champion the company culture, ethics, diversity, and values throughout the field organization
  • Oversee a team of Regional Directors and General Managers, coach and counsel, conduct performance and compensation reviews, resolve problems, provide clear and open communications, discipline and terminate as appropriate
  • Partner with key internal stakeholders to deliver outcomes in training, people strategy, compliance and member experience
  • Recruit, develop, train and retain talent throughout the field operations organization

How you’ll measure success:

  • Strong security performance across all division airports and full adherence to compliance requirements
  • Achieving a consistent balanced scorecard each quarter, including in-airport enrollment performance, member experience scores and cost management 
  • Deliver division-level profit contribution equal to or in excess of stated targets
  • Best-in-class hiring and talent development to craft high performing teams 

What you’re great at:

  • Business operations leader with 10-15+ years experience, including leadership of geographically disparate teams in a high volume, 24/7/365 environment
  • P&L Management experience including forecasting, managing sales goals 
  • Customer optimization experience with Net Promoter Score and employee satisfaction (best places to work)
  • Ability to balance multiple competing priorities and exercise rapid business judgment to support effective real time decisions
  • Experience building strong sales and service cultures and managing performance at the programmatic and tactical level
  • Strong personal credibility to build trusted relationships with senior business leaders and frontline staff alike
  • Highly collaborative and a superior communicator: ability to influence and receive buy in across levels and audiences
  • Must be based in SFO or LAX and able to travel up to 75% of the time to airports within your geography and occasional travel to the NYC corporate office

The base salary range for this role is $220,000-$260,000, depending on levels of skills and experience.

The base salary range represents the low and high end of CLEAR’s salary range for this position. Salaries will vary depending on various factors which include, but are not limited to location, education, skills, experience and performance. The range listed is just one component of CLEAR’s total compensation package for employees and other rewards may include annual bonuses, commission, Restricted Stock Units
