Job Title: Vice President, Multi-Asset Risk Management

Location: 400 Howard St San Francisco, CA 94105

Job Duties: Serve as an independent and credible advisor and value-add partner to senior investors and business leads across Multi Asset. Contribute to day-to-day risk management activities including overseeing regular risk reviews, ad-hoc analyses, and deep dives on risk or performance of portfolios. Contribute to research relating to markets, portfolio construction, and the risk environment. Partner with BlackRock Solutions (BRS) to advance risk and performance attribution methodologies and tooling. Collaborate with peers across RQA to enhance risk frameworks and manage and develop junior talent.

Qualifications: Master’s degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field and three (3) years of experience as an Associate, Senior Consultant, Senior Associate, Senior Quantitative Analyst; or a related role. In the alternative, the employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree in Quantitative and Computational Finance, Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science or a related quantitative field and five (5) years of progressively responsible experience as an Associate; Senior Consultant, Senior Associate, Senior Quantitative Analyst; or a related role. Must have three (3) years of experience with: Experience in analyzing Multi-asset portfolios investment processes including strategic and tactical asset allocation, manager selection and blending, risk budgeting across strategies and asset classes, hedging strategies and macro overlays; Knowledge in Risk factor models across asset classes (equity, rates, credit, FX, alternatives, derivatives), and expertise is using these models to analyze portfolios risk, including risk and exposure decomposition, correlation analysis, and concentration and diversification measures; Experience in Stress testing and other measure of portfolio tail risk including design and calibration of forward-looking scenarios, propagation of specified shocks across factors, utilization of historical scenario, VAR and CVAR measures; Knowledge of Multi-asset performance attribution techniques including factor-based attribution, Brinson attribution, fixed income attribution, and quantification of portfolio implementation cost; Experience in data analysis, manipulation of large datasets and data visualization skills; and Expertise in using Python, Tableau, data APIs and investment risk analytics platform.

For San Francisco, CA Only the salary range for this position is USD$160,700.00 - USD$210,000.00 . Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, and benefits including healthcare, leave benefits, and retirement benefits. BlackRock operates a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy and your total compensation may vary based on role, location, and firm, department and individual performance.
