Vice President, Marketing Operations
Position Overview
Nasuni is seeking an experienced Vice President of Marketing Operations to drive operational excellence and scalability across our marketing organization. This strategic leadership role will optimize marketing operations infrastructure, processes, and technology to support aggressive growth objectives while maximizing efficiency and ROI. The ideal candidate will serve as the operational backbone of marketing, bridging strategy and execution while enabling data-driven decision making at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
Marketing Strategy & Planning
- Partner with CMO and executive team to translate business objectives into actionable marketing strategies and operational plans
- Lead annual and quarterly marketing planning processes, including goal setting, resource allocation, and success metrics
- Develop comprehensive marketing operations frameworks that support scalable growth
- Create and maintain marketing performance dashboards and executive reporting
Marketing Revenue Operations
- Own Marketing's contribution to pipeline generation and revenue attribution models
- Establish and optimize lead scoring, routing, and qualification processes
- Partner closely with Sales Operations to ensure seamless handoff and conversion tracking
- Drive marketing qualified lead (MQL) to sales qualified lead (SQL) optimization
- Implement closed-loop reporting to measure marketing impact on revenue
Program Execution & Management
- Oversee end-to-end execution of integrated marketing campaigns across all channels
- Establish project management frameworks and processes to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives between marketing, sales, product, and customer success teams
- Implement quality assurance processes and performance optimization protocols
Marketing Automation & Technology
- Lead marketing technology strategy, implementation, and optimization
- Manage marketing automation platforms (MAP) to drive personalized, scalable customer journeys
- Oversee data management, segmentation strategies, and campaign orchestration
- Ensure marketing technology integrations support attribution and analytics requirements
Integrated Marketing Operations
- Coordinate multi-channel campaign planning and execution across digital, events, content, and field marketing
- Establish consistent messaging, branding, and campaign standards across all marketing touchpoints
- Optimize channel performance and budget allocation based on data-driven insights
- Drive alignment between demand generation, product marketing, and customer marketing functions
Marketing Technology Implementation & Stack Management
- Evaluate, select, and implement marketing technologies that enhance operational efficiency
- Manage vendor relationships and contract negotiations for marketing technology providers
- Ensure proper integration between marketing tools and broader tech ecosystem (CRM, analytics, etc.)
- Maintain data hygiene, security, and compliance standards across all marketing systems
Agile Marketing Practices
- Implement agile marketing methodologies to increase speed-to-market and adaptability
- Establish sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospective processes for marketing teams
- Create testing frameworks for continuous campaign and channel optimization
- Foster culture of experimentation and data-driven iteration
Board & Executive Communication
- Prepare comprehensive marketing performance reports for board meetings and investor updates
- Present marketing operations insights and recommendations to executive leadership
- Develop executive-level dashboards that clearly communicate marketing's business impact
- Support fundraising and strategic initiatives with marketing performance data
Budget Management & Cost Optimization
- Lead annual marketing budget planning and quarterly forecasting processes
- Monitor campaign spending and ROI across all marketing channels and programs
- Identify cost optimization opportunities while maintaining performance standards
- Implement financial controls and approval processes for marketing investments
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field; MBA preferred
- 10+ years of marketing operations experience with 5+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven track record scaling marketing operations in high-growth B2B SaaS environments
- Deep expertise in marketing automation platforms (Marketo, HubSpot, 6sense) and CRM systems (Salesforce)
- Strong analytical skills with experience in marketing attribution and revenue operations
- Demonstrated experience managing marketing technology stacks and vendor relationships
- Experience presenting to executive teams and board members
- Strong project management and cross-functional leadership capabilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in enterprise storage, cloud infrastructure, or data management sectors
- Background in agile marketing methodologies and change management
- Advanced analytics experience with tools like Tableau, Snowflake, or similar platforms
- Previous experience at companies with $150M+ ARR or high-growth startups
- Certification in marketing automation platforms and project management methodologies
