Who You Are: (Job Summary)
The Vice President of Lender and Investor Relations (VP IR) is part of the Capital Markets team and is responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive investor relations strategy that supports the company’s financial and strategic goals with a primary focus on debt capital markets. This role serves as a strategic liaison between the company and the lending and investment community, ensuring transparent, consistent, and effective communication of financial performance, strategy, and market positioning.
What You Will Do: (Job Responsibilities)
- Execute the Company’s investor relations strategy, messaging, and engagement plan.
- Serve as a key spokesperson to lenders, investors, and rating agencies, including commercial banks, institutional bondholders, insurance companies and private credit funds.
- Produce and maintain marketing materials including management presentations and company overview materials for inclusion in debt execution presentations.
- Manage ad-hoc lender information requests
- Support the Capital Markets team in the execution of new debt issuances (construction, revolvers, securitizations, private placements).
- Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and Legal teams to ensure accurate and timely disclosure of financial information and other deliverables.
- Analyze market trends, peer performance, and investor sentiment to inform executive leadership.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional investors, lenders, and other stakeholders.
- Organize and coordinate prep and post-meeting follow-up related to investor roadshows, conferences, and one-on-one meetings.
- Build and maintain a comprehensive investor database to proactively manage lending relationships and identify prospective relationships
- Partner with Legal and Compliance teams to manage disclosure obligations.
- Advise executive leadership on investor perceptions and market dynamics.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Will Need to Be Successful: (Required Qualifications, Education, Experience, Certifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA preferred).
- 10+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, or corporate finance.
- Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation methods, and capital markets.
- Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proven ability to build trust and credibility with senior executives and external stakeholders.
Other Key Skills: (KSAs)
- Familiarity with real estate, infrastructure or data centers.
- Advanced proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
