Summary

MongoDB is looking for a strategic and highly analytical Head of Investor Relations, who will lead our engagement with the investor community to provide the narrative and performance of the company. This role will report directly into the Chief Financial Officer. 

We are looking to speak to candidates who are based out of NYC or Palo Alto.

What You’ll Do:
  • Lead the quarterly earnings process, including drafting earnings releases and scripts, developing Q&A materials, and preparing senior management for investor calls
  • Collaborate with FP&A to develop quarterly and annual guidance, based on a deep understanding of financial performance, market dynamics, and strategic priorities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the investment community, maintaining strong relationships with sell-side analysts and institutional investors
  • Communicate the company’s business model, financials, growth strategy, competitive positioning, product innovations, and go-to-market efforts in a clear, compelling manner
  • Maintain proactive, transparent communication with top shareholders while identifying and engaging potential long-term investors aligned with our vision
  • Plan and coordinate investor engagement activities including conferences, analyst meetings, non-deal roadshows, and investor days
  • Develop and maintain high-impact investor materials, including presentations, fact sheets, and board communications
  • Conduct in-depth financial, market, and peer benchmarking analyses to assess valuation, shareholder sentiment, and competitive positioning
  • Support executive and board-level strategic discussions with data-driven insights and capital markets perspectives
  • Lead special projects and analytical initiatives in partnership with Finance, Strategy, Legal, and Communications teams
Who You Are:
  • 15+ years of experience in investor relations, investment banking, equity research, or equity investing (or similar experience); preferably in high growth technology SaaS companies
  • Proven track record of building credibility with institutional investors, analysts, and internal leadership.
  • Strong financial acumen, with deep expertise in financial modeling, valuation, consumption models and SaaS metrics.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA preferred.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly and confidently articulate complex concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Insightful understanding of public markets and evolving investor expectations in the technology sector.
  • Understanding of software and cloud technology and ability to connect technology trends with the financial model

MongoDB’s base salary range for this role is posted below. Compensation at the time of offer is unique to each candidate and based on a variety of factors such as skill set, experience, qualifications, and work location. Salary is one part of MongoDB’s total compensation and benefits package. Other benefits for eligible employees may include: equity, participation in the employee stock purchase program, flexible paid time off, 20 weeks fully-paid gender-neutral parental leave, fertility and adoption assistance, 401(k) plan, mental health counseling, access to transgender-inclusive health insurance coverage, and health benefits offerings. Please note, the base salary range listed below and the benefits in this paragraph are only applicable to U.S.-based candidates.

$162,000$318,000 USD
