Link is seeking a proactive and experienced Head of Legal Operations to elevate the performance, efficiency, and strategic value of our Legal Department. In this role, you’ll lead operational excellence across legal process management, technology implementation, vendor strategy, and cross-functional alignment—ensuring the legal team is optimized to support complex real estate transactions, compliance, investor relations, and risk management.   Exceptional PowerPoint skills are essential, as the role requires preparation of visually compelling, data driven presentation for C-suite leadership, board meetings and cross-functional updates.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Operational Strategy & Execution

  • Drive legal department efficiency by establishing scalable processes to support acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development, and corporate governance.

  • Collaborate with legal and finance leadership to develop key performance indicators that demonstrate the legal team’s business impact.

  • Create clear, engaging, and visually polished PowerPoint presentations that communicate complex legal strategies, risks, and data.

Technology & Systems Management

  • Select, implement, and manage technology solutions (e.g., entity management, board portals, e-billing, document management, and CLM platforms) to streamline legal work.

  • Integrate legal systems with real estate and finance platforms such as Yardi, Argus, or SAP, where appropriate.

Financial Management & Cost Optimization

  • Develop and manage the legal budget, including forecasting for outside counsel, technology, and corporate governance expenses.

  • Lead outside counsel engagement strategy: rate negotiations, performance reviews, and alignment with billing guidelines.

  • Implement legal spend analytics and benchmarking specific to REIT and real estate market norms.

Contracting & Transactional Support

  • Oversee the development and maintenance of templates and playbooks for leasing, acquisitions, vendor agreements, and debt transactions.

  • Build processes to support legal due diligence and documentation workflows related to property and capital markets activity.

Team Leadership & Cross-functional Collaboration

  • Lead a legal operations team and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, Compliance, and Asset Management.

  • Foster a continuous improvement culture within the legal function by promoting innovation, accountability, and efficiency.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required; JD, MBA, or paralegal/legal ops certification preferred.

  • 10+ years of experience in legal operations, corporate legal management, experience with REITs or real estate clients.  Ideally, three plus years in a leadership role.

  • Advanced PowerPoint skills – able to distill complex ideals into clear, professional visual formats.

  • Demonstrated success in legal tech implementation and legal spend management.

  • Strong financial acumen, analytical, strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

  • High integrity, direction, and a track record of sound judgment in a regulated environment.

  • Experience supporting or working directly with General Counsel and C-level executives.

$215,000 - $240,000 represents the presently anticipated base compensation pay range for this position at Link.  Actual pay may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
