Role Overview

Tunnl is seeking a VP, Head of Agencies to lead our Agency go-to-market strategy, based onsite in Arlington, VA. This role owns the full agency channel for Tunnl - driving net new agency sales and expanding revenue within our existing agency relationships.

Reporting to our Chief Revenue Officer, this VP will build and scale Tunnl's agency go-to-market function end-to-end, owning revenue targets while coordinating closely with our Brand/Corporate, Public Affairs, and Partnerships teams to keep agency strategy aligned with the rest of the business. Success looks like a growing, well-managed agency channel that becomes a durable, repeatable source of recurring revenue for Tunnl.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow net new agency sales pipeline, from prospecting through close, across media agency holding companies, independent agencies, and adjacent partners.

  • Deepen and expand revenue within Tunnl's existing agency accounts, identifying new use cases and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Define and execute Tunnl's Agency GTM strategy, including targets, pricing approach, and partnership structure.

  • Coordinate closely with Brand/Corporate, Public Affairs, and Partnerships teams to align agency strategy with broader company priorities.

  • Represent Tunnl externally as the executive face of our agency relationships, building senior-level trust with agency leadership.

  • Report on pipeline, revenue, and channel performance to the CEO and CRO, informing broader commercial strategy.

What Success Looks Like

  • Bring deep knowledge of the agency ecosystem and a strong understanding of its business models, priorities, and evolving needs.

  • Build trusted relationships with senior agency leaders by listening carefully, offering informed perspective, and consistently delivering value.

  • See opportunities before they are obvious and can translate them into compelling partnerships, products, and revenue strategies.

  • Pair ambitious thinking with operating discipline, using clear goals, data, and accountability to drive results.

  • Thrive in a growing company where you can create structure, make thoughtful decisions with incomplete information, and move quickly from idea to execution.

  • Lead with influence across functions, bringing sales, customer success, product, marketing, and leadership together around a shared agency strategy.

  • Develop high-performing teams by setting a clear direction, giving people meaningful ownership, and creating a culture of candor and continuous improvement.

  • Stay close to customers and the market, turning what you learn into practical insights that shape Tunnl’s broader strategy.

  • Approach challenges with curiosity, sound judgment, humility, and a genuine desire to help agencies—and Tunnl—succeed.

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in agency, media, or partnership sales leadership, with a track record of building and scaling agency go-to-market functions.

  • Experience selling into or partnering with media agency holding companies.

  • Experience working with social platforms and/or DSPs, whether as a sales partner, channel lead, or platform-side agency lead.

  • Experience owning net new sales, channel sales, and account expansion targets simultaneously at a senior level.

  • Interest in building and scaling a go-to-market function from the ground up at a fast-growing data and insights company.

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or other advanced degree.

  • Have built and/or led revenue generating teams.

Why You Should Apply:

  • Join a team driven by curiosity, teamwork, integrity, and a shared passion for solving big challenges.

  • A friendly, welcoming, and supportive culture with regular social and team events.

  • Comprehensive benefits with excellent medical, vision, and dental coverage.

  • Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options.

  • Employer-paid life insurance & short-term & long-term disability, with other voluntary additional coverage available (accident, critical illness, hospital indemnity).

  • Flexible hybrid work policy.

  • Flexible paid vacation plus 80 hours of paid sick leave.

  • 10 paid company holidays per year.

  • 401(k) plan with 100% match up to 3%, plus 50% match up to 5% (subject to IRS limits).

  • Cell phone reimbursement stipend.

  • Monthly parking or commuter stipend for VA-based employees.

What you need to know about the Los Angeles Tech Scene

Los Angeles is a global leader in entertainment, so it’s no surprise that many of the biggest players in streaming, digital media and game development call the city home. But the city boasts plenty of non-entertainment innovation as well, with tech companies spanning verticals like AI, fintech, e-commerce and biotech. With major universities like Caltech, UCLA, USC and the nearby UC Irvine, the city has a steady supply of top-flight tech and engineering talent — not counting the graduates flocking to Los Angeles from across the world to enjoy its beaches, culture and year-round temperate climate.

Key Facts About Los Angeles Tech

  • Number of Tech Workers: 375,800; 5.5% of overall workforce (2024 CompTIA survey)
  • Major Tech Employers: Snap, Netflix, SpaceX, Disney, Google
  • Key Industries: Artificial intelligence, adtech, media, software, game development
  • Funding Landscape: $11.6 billion in venture capital funding in 2024 (Pitchbook)
  • Notable Investors: Strong Ventures, Fifth Wall, Upfront Ventures, Mucker Capital, Kittyhawk Ventures
  • Research Centers and Universities: California Institute of Technology, UCLA, University of Southern California, UC Irvine, Pepperdine, California Institute for Immunology and Immunotherapy, Center for Quantum Science and Engineering
