The VP of Growth will define and implement growth strategies, manage new and existing client relationships, and drive business development and profitability.
Gigantic Playground specializes in creating next-generation interactive experiences and intelligent technology products, and is seeking a visionary and results-driven Vice President, Growth to join our leadership team. This role is integral to shaping our agency’s future strategic positioning, with a focus on driving overall growth of our current accounts and net new business pursuits.

As VP, Growth you will be responsible for spearheading the growth of key accounts and overall net new business. You’ll serve as the key leader in defining strategic positioning, uncovering growth opportunities within key accounts, and navigating a competitive landscape to build a robust pipeline of new business opportunities. You’ll collaborate closely with the executive leaderships of GP, as well as overall CourtAvenue Collective leadership, to ultimately drive growth and champion the agency, and Collective overall.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience in the digital/tech agency, consultancy, experiential and/or technology services industry overall.
Responsibilities
- Lead Growth Strategy: Define and implement the growth strategy for the agency overall, revisiting quarterly to refine as needed. Partner with leadership to make investment requests, define KPIs, and track progress.
- New Business Development: Drive net new client acquisition through proactive business development, from lead generation through to pitching, contract negotiation, and onboarding.
- Existing Client Growth: Support growth for existing accounts by identifying additional service opportunities, ensuring clients leverage GP’s full capabilities, and aligning internal resources to meet client needs.
- Agency Positioning: Understand market needs and competitor dynamics to shape the GP positioning. Develop go-to-market (GTM) strategies to differentiate our offerings.
- Financial Accountability: Oversee the account and business development P&L, working closely with Finance and Operations to ensure healthy and profitable growth.
- Partnerships & Alliances: Identify and cultivate strategic alliances with platforms, emerging technologies, and industry leaders to drive co-marketing efforts and mutual sales leads.
- Sales Operations: Establish and optimize sales operations, reporting frameworks, and tracking mechanisms to manage and forecast business development pipeline.
- Collaborative Leadership: Work closely with senior leadership to define team structures, make staffing recommendations, and contribute to a healthy, fun, positive, and productive team culture.
Qualifications
- 10+ years strategic, consultative sales experience
- 8+ years within a digital agency, consultancy, experiential, tech services sales environment
- Positive, fun, energetic leadership style to motivate and inspire team and clients
- Extensive experience in entertainment, retail and consumer technology products industries
- Strong strategic thinking and leadership capabilities, with a focus on driving growth through experience innovation and technology disruption.
- Deep understanding of market trends, consumer insights, and competitive landscapes in the digital agency/creative technology space
- Hands-on leader with the ability to inspire and unite teams around a common vision.
- Experience managing P&L and driving profitable growth in a high-growth environment.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial culture while maintaining focus on long-term goals.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills; able to engage with clients, agency leadership, and cross-functional teams to drive success.
Compensation: The compensation package includes a base salary, bonus structure based on growth goals, and qualifies for GP's executive leadership equity pool.
Location: This position is remote with a preference for San Diego, Los Angeles, NYC or Orlando locations.
